Very cosy, beds were very comfy. Steve was very kind, helpful and accommodating. I felt very safe and there are nice balconies and places near by to visit during the day.

The Location is safe (24hr security) wifi is fast and convenient for digital nomads. As a female solo traveler i felt safe during my stay. Steve the receptionist is awesome and friendly 😊

Lights in the dorm are of bad quality and need replacing as can't see much.

I stayed at this hostel twice during my stay in Nairobi. It's located near Westlands in a secure estate and is a perfect place to escape the craziness of downtown Nairobi. It wasn't too busy when I was there but we had fun chilling and chatting in the reception area, watching a movie in the film room, the kitchen was fully equipped and the beds were comfortable with adequate bedding. The bathroom was clean and large with hot water.

Vincent was very hospitable and there was a great community of backpackers. It was quite minimal but the hostel is just new so I am excited to see how it will look when I return next. The location and security were great as well.

Although there was a well equipped kitchen, there wasn't really anywhere to eat comfortably. . There was no dining table in the kitchen and no common room. There was space in reception but only wooden pallets to sit on, so rather uncomfortable. The addition of a common seating area would make this an exceptional hostel

Safe area. Gated, manned security entry. Decent location. (20 min walk from shopping malls, grocery store and restaurants. Morning coffee 200m away). Lockers under beds. Cooking facilities. The owner is very helpful and a traveller himself. Not open long, but the owner has future plans for the place and it will only get better.

The best hostel in Africa! The hostel is located in a safe area of town & close to all essential amenities. Vincent the owner knows of all the happenings in town & joins in every chance he gets. I also met Vincent in his home town & he showed me around for the two days I was there.

Loved everything about this place, The owner Vincent is a great helpful guy with a great vibe. The location is great close to supermarkets and safe. The museum is a short walk with cafes around as well. It's in a quiet area to get some well earned rest after a safari or a big walk around the city centre.

My 2-day stay at Nairobi Backpackers in Nairobi was genuinely enjoyable! The location is superb, nestled close to the vibrant nightlife in Westlands, making evening adventures a breeze, and offers easy access to the city center's various attractions including the informative and engaging museum. Another highlight is its proximity to the Nairobi Arboretum, a peaceful retreat for those looking to escape the city buzz momentarily. The hostel’s facilities were clean and comfortable, fostering a welcoming environment to connect with other travelers. In essence, Nairobi Backpackers offers a balanced and convenient base for exploring Nairobi, coupled with warm hospitality and a friendly atmosphere!

There is problem with water pressure. Not adequate to take a shower. Bathrooms are a bit odd and moldy. 12-bed room is quite crammed with little space. It feels stuffy. Rooms are quite abrupt.

Location is good and it is safe place to stay. You ll be able to meet fellow travelers. It is also quite cheap. Good for 1 day stay but cannot stay long.
