Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

KenyaThe fact that we were on all inclusive packages but we were served an alercate menu during lunch and dinner, the menu was repetitive too, so it was kinda boring, but the meals were super nice anyway.
The rooms were supper clean and very spacious. And the staff there are very friendly and helpful. Thanks to Charlene from the reception and George Restaurant supervisor for making our stay enjoyable.

United KingdomBathrooms need refurbishing
Spacious and set in nice grounds. The hotel i would rate as 4 star but as the rooms are in need of an upgrade I’d say the rooms are 3 star standard. The beach restaurant is fab and big shout out to Maryam who was wonderful and makes the best cocktails and moctails. Also Nancy was great waitress and Dickson is a great manager.

United KingdomVery dated furniture, so old you could smell the mould and age. Rooms not appealing at all as the interior looked old. Beds so high my feet couldn’t touch the floor when sat on bed - my feet were about a meter off the floor and I’m 5ft 3inches No rugs in room either around bed - just to have a soft landing when you step down from bed
The layout is beautiful with beach just few steps away. Was highly maintained by staff every single day. Although the interior looks very dated and old, but it has its own colonial kind of look to it - if you like antiques. Furniture very old, and if you don’t mind not having a television as there is none in the rooms I booked.

KenyaThe drinks were extremely inconsistent I had like ten different versions of the virgin mohito and the traffic light mocktails. They always tasted and looked different based on who was making it which was a bit annoying. Some waiters and bar staff don't seem to know what is included and not included in the all inclusive package. We had to keep asking the reception for confirmation on certain drinks and snacks that were indicated on the menu. The breakfast especially is VERY repetitive but the food was great quality and there are MANY options. Just the same b/fast menu every day. The other meals were always above average or excellent depending on the day apart from one lunch meal which was short in starch options.
The reception lobby chill area with seating was great for undwinding The two swimming pools The daily entertainment schedule (The dances and acrobat show could be better, they are a bit monotomous) The Landscaping

United KingdomThe resort generally 4/5 star could do with some elements refurbishing. Our room in the Dream of Africa was very nice but marred by old fitting in the bathroom for example the jacuzzi bath didn't have the correct plug which made it useless and the Italian sinks both had plugs that didn't work. Also the drains did smell from time to time. I was also disappointed the 5 star resort didn't have enough beach umbrellas. The spar had beach umbrellas which were never in use but only useable if you used the spar at extra cost. We didn't let the above Marr our stay which when you take the whole stay into consideration was only a very small detraction. I only mentioned this for general feedback to the management. If you fix these issues I would give top marks.
We spent the first 6 days at the village and then moved to the Dream of Africa. We enjoyed both the 4 and 5 star experience. Some facilities crossed over. The staff where the best and always tried their best to make our stay enjoyable. The food was varied and well prepared in both the buffet and a la cart restaurants. The special Saturday night buffet meals were especially enjoyable with the live music. The entertainment staff were also very visible and constantly reminding people of the programme. I chose this resort because of its evening entertainment. The Beach was perfect and the staff offered escorted walks every day to local tourist spots. I have stayed in Diani previously and found the beach here better and the sea calmer. We were always left with bottled water in the rooms which was great. We enjoyed our stay.and will certainly come again in the future.

KenyaThe only thing that didn't go well with the hotel was lack of Television in the rooms. They should consider having Television in the rooms in future.
The location was good right next to the road. The staff are very courteous and helpful. Customer care service was also top notch as when we wanted our room changed they did so. The food was good and they had variety.

KenyaThe restaurant staff are not very well trained. They had quite a number of trainees but even the ones who are veterans lack some finese. The standard needs to be raised a little higher in that area. The rooms are large and very roomy, but the housekeeping could be better. I didn't feel that clean feel of a room once it was worked on.
Meals were fairly good. The swimming pool is great and child-friendly. We needed a room change and they followed up and gave us one. The rooms have these large cosy balconies that are perfect to relax and even nap in. The bathroom gels, lotions etc, my wife loved the quality. They had some form of entertainment each evening after dinner, that was lovely. The wifi was good. Hot water showers were excellent.

KenyaThe buffet needs greater variety with a chef's special in every meal. The bars were good. It took long also for the AC remote to be repaired so the room was rather cold.

What an absolutely incredible hotel! The hospitality we experienced here was exceptional. I cannot fault the time I had and the service received. I had the most beautiful cake done for my birthday by The Head Of Pastry Sammy, who is one of the most talented and dedicated chefs I have ever come across and I worked in hospitality for years). He made the most delicious cake to the requirements of my diet - no dairy, egg, gluten or sugar. Him and Amelia in particular were such a highlight and made our holiday. Amelia, we cannot thank enough for her kindness and care throughout the duration. I will miss these guys and the hotel itself very much. Thank you for making our stay special. Nakupenda!

KenyaThe Hotel confuses people with which restaurant to use. They need to decide if you stay in Diamond eat at Diamond. - So long as they have a big number of visitors they just need to give people Buffer instead of Alakat. It's time consuming. - Most of their senior service managers are not friendly . They look stressed .
Sandies has very good facility. Good swimming pool.

KenyaMissing first aid box in the whole hotel when my friend fell sick, they were unable to provide basic painkillers. Missing WIFI in the rooms.
The buffet, especially the dinner buffet was very abundant! And great breakfast options. The only problem was that they ran out of breakfast on the first day, with some guest missing some options. The staff are great, friendly, and very accommodative. The beachfront view is fantastic. They also allowed for late checkout. We got upgraded to the nearby Dream Garden on our last night, which was just magical.

The hotel was perfect, the room was spacious, beds really big, shower a little bit destroyed but in total we liked it there. Personal was very nice, always smiling, food was incredible, always lot of vegetables, I really liked risotto and bacon for the breakfast. Swimming pools were clean and perfect, the better one is in the miracle garden. By the pools were always free sun beds. Animation program perfect.

KenyaIt was very windy and we could not stay next to the sea and next to the big pool. There was another pool which was blocked from wind and stayed there. But there were no tents on this pool. No wind but very sunny.
The foods were perfect. Many choices. It was good to choose to eat as lunch or dinner. The rooms were big and clean.
