Quite a confusion from the staff checking us in, where they were not prepared to receive us when we arrived and were unable to find our booking.

Beautiful location, the gardens was very well looked after with thought for planting and blossoming flowers - giving a fantastic impression when driving up to the hotel. Hotel was very maintained and clean. Lovely lobby/main room with lots of seating area, where you can sit before going into dinner. Dining facilities was a little dark but there is the opportunity to sit outside and eat. Nice little swimming pool to cool off in. Bedrooms where nicely decorated and very clean with a balcony overlooking the gardens and the hills. Waiters were very attentive and helpful and ensured that we had a good service (Thank you Pettersson) We booked a birthday service with decorations for the room upon check in and a birthday cake at dinner - the staff made it a nice little celebration.

A bit expensive, and the fact that they charged extra admission to their park which used to be included in the booking before.

The executive run was very nice. The buffet meals were excellent too. The staff was very pleasant and accommodating.

The fact that full board only consisted of just plain water and not sparkling or sodas as we've had full board before usually meant everything barring alcohol.

The wifi was okay, but could be spotty at times.

My wife and I had a great stay at Taita Hills. The location is amazing, the rooms are comfortable, and the food was very tasty. Special shout out to Kadenge Reuben who led all of our game drives. He was so genuinely kind and made our experience one to remember.

We were not at all happy with the size of the room. Although we had requested for Gluten free food this was actually completely ignored. One of our Game drive was done in the Nissan which was not comfortable.

We had actually booked into Taita Hills Safari Lodge, We were only informed on arrival that the Lodge was under renovations. There was no communication from us to the lodge that we were coming by train, yet we were informed that a vehicle had gone to pick us up from the SGR station.

Everything. The fact that they upgraded us to Salt Licks Lodge at no extra cost. Then we witnessed what I think was the Buffalo migration right form the comfort of our hotel room. Awesome!

Very nice lodge situated in Tsavo West Park. Rooms are clean, and in the morning you can find monkeys in the balcony :). The food is good and all the personnel is very kind. In the afternoon you can relax at the pool, they have music and you can have a cocktail. You can book from the lodge game drives in the park (morning & afternoon).

The bathroom in our room was very old, all textiles in the hotel (curtains, towels, sheets, chaise-longue by the pool) are worn out. The management of the structure is quite poor: we struggled to get in touch with them prior to our arrival and communication was not very smooth throughout our stay.

The architecture of the hotel, its gardens and the layout are magical. The main hall (and most areas) are decorated with a taste that fits well with the environment. Food was very good, diverse and well suited to all tastes/diets. The staff were kind and professional as rarely encountered elsewhere. They made our stay and the place wonderful. We did two game drives and we enjoyed them very much: Samuel was exceptionally passionate about showing us a good time and the wildlife of Tsavo.

Room was too hot during the day and early evening, only a fan and that does little to cool the room, i do not like AC but should be an option. a Balcony to sit on would have been welcome, sitting outside to relax is a good way to end the day

Google map for the location does not work properly which meant that we had to drive for hours before we were able to find the hotel. When we finally arrived the receptionist said, matter of factly, "goodlmap does not work' It was a big disappointment.

The location is superb, just at the entrance of the park. It offers morning and night game drives. The game drive was excellent and the food was also to die for. The staffs were friendly and helpful in every way. Ample parking at the venue too. I enjoyed my two-day stay and hoping to be back sooner. They also have a small world war I museum on the premise that is quite informative.

There were no basic bathroom amenities like the dental kit, bedroom slippers and hand soap, no A/C among other many things I cannot finish mentioning

The staff at this hotel were lovely. Nothing was too much trouble for them. Our room was absolutely beautiful, much more than we expected! Clean, light and comfortable more than big enough for 3 of us! The pool was warm and clean with loungers and towels. Food was a buffet style with lots to chose from so we were all happy! As we were full board, we took a packed lunch with us on the day we left and that was to the same high standard as dinner and breakfast had been in the hotel.
