Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThe pool area is very exposed, not a pleasant place to suntan or hang out as you are directly in front of diners at the restaurant.
Beautiful finishing touches and attention to detail in the rooms.

JapanIf you are looking for quiet and serene stay, you may want to choose another hotel because there's music going on till midnight and it could be heard from our room (maybe some event was on?). But for us, that's also special vibrant atmosphere, and we enjoyed it.
Every time we step out of our room, cleaning is done, robes are on hangers, everything is neat back again. In the balcony, jasmin flowers are adding special note for our stay. Breakfast on the top floor is also beautiful. Staff are superb and welcoming.

United StatesEverything was excellent!
The staff ahhhmmmazing, Sandra the receptionist was awesome, all the staff from Francis Annjohi, and Pauline. And most importantly the chef that felt the need to cook for my friend, with stomach bug, fresh handmade soup at 5am after a long travel. The hotel manager calling to check on her the following day. There is so much I can go on and on with about this hotel. The immaculate security, the fresh brewed Kenyan tea at check in, the fresh flowers all over the hotel even in each hotel bathroom, the hotel brunch with DJ. I would stay here over and over again!

IndiaThe location is great if you want to explore the city. The place itself has such a cool and young vibe to it that we ended up spending a lot of time at the hotel restaurants. I would definitely stay here again if I visit Nairobi again.

KenyaThe music from the rooftop restaurant was quite loud from the rooms. I liked that it didnt go on all night.
Loved everything. The Room was lovely, I absolutely loved the choice of interior decor. Security getting into the building, getting to the rooms was top notch. Cosy with a comfortable bed. Staff were friendly and very helpful. The food was incredibly tasty. We got to try two different restaurants, Inca and Copper. Copper was perfect for date night, very intimate. Inca was also great for a drink and hang out.

South AfricaWindows cannot be opened, rooms with balcony and windows that can be opened apparently all face the street, loud traffic noise. I thought dinner in the restaurant was overpriced, menu limited, small portions. Both restaurants seem to cater for outside guests who are looking for a special meal for going out, not for longer staying hotel guests who are just hungry after a long day. Makes it difficult for hotel guests as there are no alternative restaurants around. Snack counter in the lobby only offers sweet cakes, no sandwiches etc. Breakfast was nice, but service very slow.
I liked the atmosphere, staff was very helpful and friendly, going the extra mile. Furniture and design exceptional.

FranceNothing. Just good to know that we need to book in advance for some of the restaurants.
Very stylish boutique hotel, amazing vibe, yummy food, super professional and very helpful staff. The restaurants are very good, and it's perfect both for work during the day and a party vibe on the roof top in the evening. Rooms are spacious, loved the attention to detail, clean and elegant design. I actually extended my stay twice because we liked it so much.

United Arab EmiratesNoone was in the pool and seems like noone really can use it as ppl are in the restaurant next to it and kinda staring on their laptops. The food wasn't great we had the fries which have an awful sacue on and the cheese rolls very tasteless. Flooding in the bathroom.
Really cool hotel. Cool decor. Cool vibe. Cool rooms. Nice pool area. Cool rooftop bar. Love the smeg fridges in the room and the bathroom is cool but flooded when we showered. Free water in the room which is great 👍we loved being able to choose a welcome drink, much better than a random jucie like other hotels 😅
