The location, the cottage (dhow), the staff were all wonderful. The cottages were kept spotless with cleaning each day. The beach is brilliant, away from the crowds.

The place is in a magical location. The personnel is friendly and helpful. A special word goes to the chef, having lunch and dinner in the lodge is usually even better than at a restaurant.

The place was exceptional and the staff were very available for all that was needed. The staff kept the place clean and made sure everything needed was available.

If something can be improved is to provide the house with a microwave.

Great and quite location. Super close to the Kitesurfing spot. The house is very big , facing the ocean, during the night you will constantly hear the ocean waves. Huge bathroom

Not really a dislike but a suggestion. Maybe some light on the walkway but nothing major.

The location was absolutely awesome and the view point was great for a sundowner. The rooms weren’t like one against the other, they were intimate and the foliage made one feel as if alone.

It would be great to have a sitting area outside that is mosquitoe protected. We ended up always going to bed early because we did not want to be eaten :)

Funnily enough, initially I was a bit annoyed by the works going on to develop the camp site bit. The irony of that is that when done it will provide a focal socilal point and I think that will be very nice and interesting. The trick will be to utilsie that in a way which allows the place to be still tranquil and individualistic Bit of a challenge Ian .

location terrific of course and there is a lot to unpack there, from site itself, trees .., to beach, to viewpoints..... Quality of and thought gone into different types of accommodation. Liked the decentralised management - ie no formal reception - which allows for informality and better intereaction I guess with staff.

We loved the location of the property. The accommodation had everything we needed. Little gem was perfect for us with little kids as we could watch them while they were in the pool from our cottage. The beach is awesome! I had the most relaxing massage from the lovely masuse at the property. We loved it! Thank you!

The staff were very friendly and ensured our comfort. Beautiful ambience if you're looking for a quiet place to relax. The fact that the beach just a few feet away from the villa. The level of cleanliness.

Watamu Beach Cottages is located on the most beautiful part of Watamu. The property has several cottages of different types and alot of thought has gone into making each one special. We loved Bijou, which is a two bedroom two bathroom house behind the swimming pool. It passed my rule of being able to hear the ocean when we slept! The staff were exceptionally helpful and welcoming and this makes such a difference. I am often looking for places I feel I could stay in alone or with one friend as so many of the rental properties are huge-- and Watamu Beach Cottages is perfect for a small group or family. The beach lookouts were very special places to read and go down to the beach from-- swim, return, swim, return-- my idea of heaven.

*I didnt like the fact that such a house would lack a television, thermos, microwave and a blender. *Then on our arrival no one was there to take us round the house for orientation but thanks to our chef Safari Masha who really helped us to settle in. * I think the people who enter the cottages should be restrjcted for security purposes especially those ones doing businesses.

I liked the fact that we met good people who made our stay easier. Safari Masha who was our chef. I highly recommend him. He is very humble and professional. He went ab extra mike just to see us comfortable always. He was my star. Piedi(Juma) whom we met at the beach, he offered to take us round watamu and it was a good experience. Then to our girl Harriet for her cleaning services.
