Restaurant is over priced. Breakfast needs variety for that price.

For my first night, I had to request a room change after finding caucasian hair in my bed. I'd seen similar strands in the shower, too, but assumed they'd defied the mop during cleaning. However, when I saw the three strands in my bed, I wondered if the sheets were fresh, so I didn't ignore. They were gracious enough to offer a room change for that night.

I stayed here for two nights while on a work trip. The hotel is in a nice location, green gardens if you fancy a walk around. Well done on the interior design, tastefully furnished - the rooms look inviting. Good shower pressure, I never quite understood why people comment on shower pressure, but I guess it's worth noting. I had a peaceful and quiet time that allowed me to work and unwind!

This hotel suited us fine for a visit to family in Nairobi. We had an apartment which gave us flexibility to self cater or dine in the restaurant. There was everything we needed and everywhere was well maintained and clean. The staff were all very helpful, friendly and welcoming. We would certainly stay here again.

A modern, friendly peri-urban hotel with some maintenance issues.

    • Studio Apartment
    • Stayed 2 nights

Small repairs to the room could have made it much better. The toilet seat was loose and both shower heads were half blocked making water flow erratic. The TV, while boasting DSTV, did not deliver. The maintenance guy was called out but after 10 mins failed to get DSTV, or indeed Netflix. He suggested 'YouTube' which to be fair, did work, but was not what I wanted. The kitchenette, while useful, is very poorly equipped. 2 max of everything and in fact there was only one spoon! (between two of us). The cleanliness was generally ok, but things had been missed - there were long hairs on the shower wall and none of the bins had liners which is just weird. The breakfast was really poor. It took ages (not a buffet) and the 'full english breakfast' was basically a pile of sweet readymix pancakes with a side order of overcooked eggs, two sausages and some beans. Not what I wanted and it should no way have taken 40 mins to arrive (my wife and I were the lone diners!). A conference centre is being constructed next door so expect daytime noise.

The location is quiet and near semi-rural. The reception staff are friendly. The room was well-appointed, airy, modern, stylish and comfortable. Balconies are nice for the rooms that have. The bed is large and very comfortable. The price is reasonable.

Such a brilliant very short stay. Such happy memories because of the happy staff.

My hairdryer didn't work. Plus point though was that they wired in a new one in time for me getting ready for dinner the next night. The shower. in the evening was always cold. It was very refreshing though and I never mentioned it to the staff so it could possibly have been sorted. There was a problem with the television and I could only watch YouTube. A very helpful young man came up to sort it but said they needed maintenance to come which never happened but, as I only wanted to watch it the once, it didn't matter much. The hotel is in a very quiet area which is a good thing but you have to get a taxi to shops, restaurants etc.

Every member of staff was friendly and helpful. Their taxi service is Henry who was cheerful and taught me Swahili and told me all sorts of useful facts about Nairobi. The friendly security staff also taught me Swahili! They were happy to store my bag all day after I had checked out which was super-helpful.

Nothing really, but it would be nice if you could serve some brown bread for breakfast. I don't like white bread. 🤣 Also, I didn't like my stay at Ulwazi Place was so short.

Everything! The staff were friendly and helpful, especially these lovely ladies, Grace and Silvia. I arrived late at night as my flight was delayed. Their kitchen was closed but still decided to make and serve me food. I had initially booked a studio but they upgraded me to a one bedroom. I had a really busy work week so their kind gesture really made my stay in Nairobi so much better. The place is tastefully set up, likely to be one of the few nicest places I have stayed in. I love all the little designs in the room, from the paintings to the little baskets. I would just come back to Nairobi for a short break just to stay here. Asante sana!

Kitisuru is a lovely place and quiet and peaceful. It's good if you are traveling specifically for business. One of the high-end locations in Nairobi. The gym is very minimal though I only stayed for a day so I may not have the best description for the place.

Uber pickup is zoned outside of the hotel premises, so I had to message the driver each time asking him to come to the hotel. No AC and when taking a shower I had to keep the windows open. Reception told me 24/7 room service but when requested I was informed it closes around 8, and some nights only the buffet was an option instead of ordering off the menu, but there is no heads up about it. Lastly staff did a surprise room inventory check in the middle of the day which I’ve never experienced before.

Amazing professional and friendly staff. They treated me like a friend and as a solo female traveler I felt incredibly safe. Room was clean and comfortable. It’s a bit out of the way but that’s what I loved about this property. It was a little piece of heaven away from the city with plenty of parking. I would 100% stay here again!

The kitchen could have been better equipped and a bigger fridge is needed. Some of the finishing in the bathroom could be redone but it was clean.

Conveniently located for northern Nairobi and access to village market. Well appointed one bedroom apartment with enough space for 2 adults and a baby. Comfy bed and hot shower. Good options for ordering breakfast to the room. Very pleasant and helpful staff
