Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThis is an amazing place, an oasis in a busy metropolis. One wakes up to the sound of a waterfall, The rooms have an African feel, as if in a safari place. The Staff are very friendly. The owner is caring and helpful. The 'mama' is a wonderful lady who treats all the hotel guests as her own guests.

KenyaDidn't not like anything but some suggestions 1. Have a kettle with cups in each room. More efficient than having to walk up and down to fill up. 2. No cooking appliances, so maybe small hot plate as there is no restaurant.
Loved the ambience. Sound of the waterfall at night was so therapeutic. Bed was comfortable. Amenities were good. Staff were on hand to deal.to issues. Loved the breakfast arrangement.

United KingdomExceptional location right near a waterfall. Unique building with a stunning garden. Probably the only place you can truly relax in Nairobi. The staff were helpful and friendly and it was great to meet Norm. Will be visiting again next time I'm in Kenya.

GermanyThe kitchen in the room could have equipped with knifes, spoons etc. However, after asking for it, they gave it to me immediately and again with kindness.
I was very intirgued by the kindness of everyone and the hospitaliy. One morning I overslept and they were still offering breakfast around noon. Any question I had was answered with extreme kindness. There are several seating areas by the hotel and options to smoke and just relax. The advertisement about the waterfall is completely correct and the guests feel like being in the wilderness somewhere although the city is around the corner.

BelgiumThe double beds in the two rooms we had were not very wide, but the mattresses were comfortable. We arrived at night. No sign is visible from the street to indicate the hotel and the lighting behind the main gate was not sufficient to guide the guests towards the hotel.
Unique B&B set into a lush green setting next to a beautiful waterfall. The interior is classy, comfy and will please those that like modern architecture and design. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and a great breakfast is served. On top the personnel is very nice and helpful. The area is very green and interesting places are accessible in decent time for a metropolis.

Loved this place so much. It’s the most beautiful spot with thoughtful architecture and calming sound of the waterfalls in a very nice neighborhood. The staff were very kind and breakfast was amazing. They also offer dinner at an affordable price - delicious meal (feels like homemade!) from Mama Rose. I had a late flight on the day of check out and they let me hang around until late and I really appreciate. It feels like a home away from home.

KenyaNothing!
Beautiful and impressed building. I chose this accommodation because of the design of the building and water fall views from rooms. I impressed a lot in details of the structure and the owner's (Famous architect) historical works in Kenya. If somebody loves architecture and mid-century designs, I really recommend this accommodation. It is worth to stay. We stayed only one night this time but I would love to stay there again and hear stories from the owner.

MoldovaIt is a little hard to find with the taxi.
The location of the hotel is excellent, in the middle of nature, with a nice sound of waterfall, especially if you want to go away from crouded and noisy city. The staff is nice and receptive for any request. My colleague got a flu and Mrs Rose was very caring, preparing special tea, bringing medicines and other relevant staff, which was very nice and appreciated. Cleaning is done regularly. Breakfast very good, includes fruits and something additional upon your choice.

United StatesThe bed was a little hard but loved everything about the place otherwise.
This place is gorgeous. The architecture is so interesting with Frank Lloyd Wright vibes. The staff, particularly Judy, were wonderful. They were always ready to help and made a nice breakfast. The property is so lovely. A little private oasis just outside of very busy parts of Nairobi. Norman, who runs the place, and the son of the architect, responded quickly and was also very friendly. I loved my stay there!

BelgiumNorman and his team are aware of things that can get better, like for example breakfast. Some days it's excellent, some days just an ordinary breakfast. If you're not up to big fancy glossy glamour but you prefer a place with a heart: this is the place. It's not perfect but it's just great.
Family run business. So 90 year old papa who designed the place is in the house (singing:). Frank Lloyd Wright is an inspiration and that you can feel in the beautiful building. Imagine sleeping next to a waterfall and lush nature in busy busy busy Nairobi: here it is. And the good thing is: it's cheap. And you can get everywhere you want by Uber, so distance is not a thing. For single travellers: here you feel comfortable. Just take an Uber taxi and you get everywhere you want. There is always the family and team that will make you feel at home. Excellent basis for trips around Nairobi. Excellent basis for a more longterm stay.

BelgiumIt´s a beautiful place, all rooms with a direct view to a waterfall. The hotel is small, and very stylish. Staff quickly starts feeling like family. They go out of their way to make sure one is comfortable. One night, we got home late from a meeting, hadn´t had food, and they still quickly prepared something to eat for us, after 11pm.

United StatesThis truly is a one of a kind hotel. Designed by owner/architect Vetle Jorgensen, staying here is like living inside a secluded Frank Lloyd Wright house for a few days. The waterfall outside is incredibly soothing to listen to, and the landscaping and gardens are beautiful. What really makes this place special is the staff…your hosts Rose and son Norman - and their entire team - really focus on making you feel at home. I regret not booking a longer stay.

United StatesNothing at all did we not like
After a 17 hr layover and no sleep on the plane my girlfriend and I arrived at this beautiful place early around 5am and we’re greeted with very friendly faces. They arranged pick up at the airport and it was seamless and super easy about 30 minutes away. When we got into our room all we heard was the sound of a amazing waterfall coming from the window which was so tranquil and peaceful to take a nap. Even though breakfast was only till around 10am, they were kind enough to still make it. This place has such a zen feeling and beautifully built and clean. The owner of the property’s son Norman was so kind and even offered to take us around town showing us all the highlights of his city and was so welcoming and now have a new friend from Kenya!
