There was sewage smell coming from the bathroom, and we were woken up early by the reception, asking us to leave early, although on booking.com it stated checked out was until 12:00 noon. Also, there was no fan or A/C in the room.

Not really we didn't like but we think it's time for new ones . The sanitary. But they were OK though..

The staff are exceptional. Very friendly. Our last day we checked out very early , we couldn't manage to take our breakfast. But they did a great gesture by packing our breakfast by the time we were leaving we carried our breakfasts well packaged . Thank you very much..we can highly recommend.

Breakfast...very odd food selection offered...no eggs, sausage, bacon...a heavy dinner menu buffet instead presented....Dinner - also no veggies nor a desert included on the half-board dinner...again this is very odd for half-board...apparently these items are only offered on full-board basis . Fries were offered as the only accompaniment with the main dish...the price of veggies is surely a minimal one to bear...I expected more for half-board basis...Food options therefore limited...Food was disappointing...

It definitely needs an update. Also, when we were there, the pool was dirty. No AC. I wouldn’t stay here for a long period.

The rooms are cozy although mine was rather dark overlooking the forest.

Good breakfast, restaurant with somewhat slow service but always open and with a good menu at fair prices. The hotel, has a wonderful garden overlooking the Karura Forest. The staff was very professional, friendly and helpful. The rooms are cozy anceh though mine was a little dark overlooking the forest. The location is secluded but only a few minutes walk from Westland shopping centers. I will definitely return to this hotel in my next stays in Nairobi.

Bathroom could have been cleaner - e.g, some mould between shower tiles, and floor had not been scrubbed.

Swimming pool was not necessary due to size but I would recommended individual outdoors jacuzzi it’s more fun and people will use them putting more smiles on faces

Somebody from the management tried to convince me by text messages on whatsapp to cancel my second booking because of " maintenance issues", which I didn't believe at all. In my opinion it was an overbooking issue. How can you bother your guests like this? Asking me to cancel and to book somewhere else, by myself, making me deal with that hassle, really? Even if there really is an issue beyond your control you are the one to reorganize and arrange my alternative accommodation. Anyway, I didn't back down and eventually I was told that "the maintenance work was completed" and I could stay. The water in the pool was murky on the day I decided to go for a swim. It's not such a big deal for me but I think it would be good if the pool is properly maintained all the time.

Let's be honest - it's THE BEST hotel in Nairobi. Quiet, serene environment, surrounded by greenery, right next to Karura forest, you watch the monkeys playing around while having lunch, you hear the birds chirping, you are in nature, you breathe that fresh air, it's like you are in a fairy tale place. It's amazing. You don't hear any traffic noise there which is very important for me personally. The food, the service, the staff - high level, professional. The room - big, comfortable, well equipped. I stayed there twice within 2 weeks - 3 nights each time.

Bedside lamps would have been a really helpful addition; the only light option in bedrooms was all lights in the room on or off -- which was a bit of a challenge when sharing a room with a colleague.

I booked two rooms for me and my colleagues, so saw more than one. Both rooms were great. The breakfast was delicious, all food and beverages good, the staff were kind and helpful, the location could not be beat, the setting is stunning, the pool is beautiful, landscape feels like you're in a forest but you're in the city, the rooms were clean and comfy - while the bedrooms are not "high-luxury" they are appropriate for the hotel rating and very nice. Everything was clean. I will likely stay here again when I return to Nairobi and would definitely recommend it to others.

The swimming pool was too cold. We couldn't swim.

The view on the forest. The comfortable bed. The food was absolutely incredible - I especially enjoyed the extensive breakfast. The hot shower. The location is next to a big mall.

The fact that I was in the city but felt like I was miles away in the woods was absolutely relaxing for me. The space is lovely and quiet. The staff are amazinginly helpful. Faith, Purity, Samuel... I can't remember them all by name but they were all lovely.
