How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

The room had a musty smell. Had to open the window to get rid of the smell. No bath mat for the bathroom, when showering the bathroom turns into pool.

Abit far from main attraction. But Yandex is 24/7 in Bishkek.
Clean. Friendly and helpful staff. Near to 24/7 supermarket. Next to bus station. Afforable tours. 20mins to airport

clean and my dream want to stay in yurt comes true. I found the only yurt stay in city centre. has a heater inside yurt to banlance the night cold. easy to access from wedtern bus terminal bishkeke. 20 min walking to Osh bazaar. free breakfast

There’s like a plumbing smell coming from the bathroom on Room 1 upstairs and Room 8. But when we transferred to another room, the bathroom is ok.
The staffs are helpful and friendly.

Guests are mostly locals living at the hostel and didn't care about common spaces, making videocalls in the shared bedroom at 2am without earphones. The management needs to set silence hours clear.
Very nice staff, super friendly and helpful. Located right next to the western bus station. There's a 24h canteen next door.

Overall comfortable stay. Stayed in the quadruple room and the dormitory as well and both were comfortable. Shared shower rooms and toilets were very clean. Aika, the receptionist, was outstanding,she was very helpful and answered all our queries very nicely. She also suggested very good dining spots.

Although booked a double room with a big bed, I got two single beds
Best hostel in town, fine location close to the bus station, perfect for a trip.to Almaty or further. Breakfast is so so, but that has more to do with the external partner who can't tip to the super.friendly staff at the hostel itself

Only on thing was missing that is washing Machine!
Location is very good, All facilities were provided. Private room we got as a family with private bathroom, Breakfast provided and was good. Warm water, warm rooms, 24 hours reception. The best thing is at the backside of hostel there is a big bus stand, buses go where ever you want to like other cities and even nearest countries. Staff was great and very cooperative! Thank you everyone.

No mirror in the room, only in the bath room. Simple breakfast but filling us, reasonable with the price you paid.
The staff (Diana and another girl receptionist) very nice and helpful. They speak English very well and help us a lot especially with communicating transport matters and Bishkek whereabouts. The location is very convenient near bus station, van transport and many eateries around. The hot water in the bathroom serves well.

The room needed to be aired out when I first got there. It was fine after that.
It is very close to the international and local bus station. There is a good size market for food and access to ATM.

Staff weren’t very knowledgable on the area or surrounding areas.

The dorms are a bit too cramped for privacy. Also it is a little far out of the city. Absolutely fine for a night but as someone who wants to walk and not use public transport it is a bit more limiting.
It's a nice setup and definitely feels like a classic hostel, has a pleasant outside area and good evening mini events too (Kyrgyz music on the night I stayed which was great) staff are very good too and even helped me with a day tour after I had left the hostel and was staying elsewhere. Very near the bus station too so ideal if you are traveling onwards early somewhere, I imagine
