Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Czech RepublicThe equipment in the hotel is not brand new, however it still satisfying.
The hotel is quite close to Angkor Wat and is in a very quiet location about 20 minutes walking from the city center. The best about this accommodation is the owner Denis and his staff. He is very welcoming, helped us a lot clear up how to get to Angkor Wat, helped with the scooter and even helped to arrange an evening show in the circus and made us pancakes early in the morning when we were leaving.

And the pool was just incredible – we spent hours lounging there! The hotel's location is great, close to all the cool stuff in Siem Reap. Everything about the hotel was just perfect, and the staff were so helpful and nice. If you're visiting Siem Reap, definitely stay at Ra-Ta Hotel – you won't regret it!

PortugalI hope I could stay more days ;)
We loved everything. The manager, Dara, is the soul of this place. Very responsive, takes care of everything (tuk tuk to visit Angkor temples, laundry, bus tickets...). The hotel is a diamond! Very peaceful, surrounded by a beautiful vegetation. We had 3 memorable days here. The meals in the restaurant are 5 stars! Very tasty. Thank you Dara and team!

SingaporeRooms have recessed lighting that's not very strong, and two of our lights were burned out -- so at night it can feel dark in the rooms. Like most places in Cambodia, the coffee is drinkable but not as strong as we have come to expect from espresso machines. The place had just reopened after COVID, and not everything was yet functional -- e.g. payment was cash-only.
Gorgeous pool with warm (non-salty) water -- perfect to recover from lots of temple tourism when it's hot out. Comfortable room, large bathroom and tub, fantastic water pressure in the shower. Nice breakfast (included) with coffee, eggs, sausage, toast, and fruit. The fresh spring rolls are excellent -- better than in restaurants downtown. Happy hour cocktails are two for $3, and the fresh-squeezed fruit juice makes all the difference. Much appreciated the free Tuk Tuk pickup and drop-off from the airport. Hotel supplied a Tuk Tuk driver for the temples from $18 to $23 per day. Our driver, Mr. San, was patient, courteous, friendly and good at finding pleasant places for lunch. Wifi was strong and reliable.

AustraliaSlightly hard to find, down a narrow lane off Charles de Gaulle (which makes it nice and quiet). Google maps constantly wants to come in via back lanes.

The vibe is chill and it’s away from the noise of the busy street! The swimming pool is actually usable unlike those tiny ones in Phnom Penh! Excellent stay, would go back again in a heartbeat!

CambodiaIf you like a quiet room be sure to request it, because staying up front by the restaurant you hear the music all day. Not a big problem, just a bit distracting. Also I was a bit sad that the bathtub wasn't working that well. A lot of re-opening hotels are doing maintenance right now so I'm sure it will be even more perfect soon. I still recommend this place 100%!
The manager was funny and very friendly, and I felt welcomed by all the staff. The room was much more beautiful than I expected! Also the breakfast is delicious and soooo much food with a big fruit plate included. And there was a mini fridge in the room yay! They don't charge a crazy price for soda and drinks, and they've got happy hour discounts if that's your thing.
