Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

FinlandThe owner and his wife were super accommadating and helpful, he really knows how to host and not be in the way. Fixed everything for me although I didn't go trekking since it was dry season and 40 degrees outside. There's a nice café next door and a small shop up the street. Breakfast was really good, next time I'll come in high season to try dinner as well!

United KingdomOne of the highlights of my time in Cambodia, this place was pretty perfect. The owner is a really cool guy and really goes out of his way to help you; he picked me up and dropped me off to my bus for free and exchanged money for me too. And his wife's food is incredible - with huge portions for both breakfast and dinner. The whole place has such a welcoming, friendly vibe and is in a fantastic location. Couldn't recommend this place enough!

BelgiumAmazing place!! The owner was sooo friendly and helped us book our border crossing to laos Breakfast is great!! Fresh fruit, bread and eggs and jam with tea We also booked a 3 day jungle trekking and it was sooo good! We were a group of 4 and had 2 guides, they were both amazing and super friendly and knew so much about the jungle. We had lots of cool jungle snacks and the food they cooked was delicious! Highly recommend their jungle trekking as you go deep into the jungle and can swim at every sleeping spot which makes the heat manageable:) Don't think or read more reviews because this is the best place you can stay in!

Netherlandsa lot of garbage in the surrounding street, but that is of course not directly related to the guesthouse, but more to the general attitude in Cambodia to consider public place as a deposit for mostly plastic waste.
the location is not in the centre, but in a very beautifull green garden the bungalow was very nice with a balcony in the garden excellent couple running the guesthouse- great hospitality

CroatiaThe host was excellent, very helpful, ready to organise anything we needed. He also shared stories and information about the people from the minority villages and that part of Cambodia in general. The room was clean, basic but sufficient for good night sleep before and after jungle trekking. His house is a little piece of paradise in loud and dusty Banlung

He picked us up from the bus station in the early hours of the morning, helped us get around Banlung in the days and his wife cooked some incredible food! If you're looking for a day or up to 3 treks in the jungle, do it via Pu Thea who organised everything great! The room was very spacious too and clean for a lovely 2 days

PolandThat I couldn't extend my stay endlessly. Because of my limitations in traveltime.
True homestay experience. Amazing food cooked by the wife of the host. Eating meals together with other cool backpackers that shared the house. Evenings spent with Pu Thea's children doing homework. Great bikes to rent, in superb condition. Unforgettable view from a hamak hanging in front of my bungalow. Also, last but not the least amazing trekkings through the jungle that are organised here.

GermanyWe extended our stay several times because we felt so comfortable here. Puthea and his family are incredibly nice. He happily organizes different trips for you, drives your places and answers all your questions regarding the Cambodian culture or Buddhism. The food (lots of fresh fruit for breakfast and dinner with the other guests) was amazing (and vegan friendly). Right across the street there is a nice little coffee shop with a beautiful view. During the night it was sometimes a bit loud, however, I think that was due to religious festivities this time of the year and not an everyday occurance.
