Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

I was drawn to this hotel by its high score reviews. After experiencing their service, I understood why so many people rated it so highly. Situated on a quiet and safe street, surrounded by government officials residing in grand mansions, it offers a serene escape. Security guards stationed at both ends of the street add to the sense of safety. The hotel boasts a beautiful garden, where the only sounds one hears are birds chirping. It's hard to believe such an oasis exists in the bustling center of PP. The owner and staff are exceptionally hospitable and warm. I would definitely choose to stay here again on my next visit to PP.

United KingdomThere is nothing we didn't like. This is an exceptional hotel, full of character. Be mindful that if you visit in the dry season, or at it's hottest (April) like we have, then walking anywhere really isn't an option! The hotel will order a taxi or tuk tuk for you and it's very cheap.
This is a truly amazing hotel. We were greeted by the owner, who took the time to explain our location and offered ideas to add to our itinerary. He is a very kind gentleman and his relaxed demeanor permeates through the hotel staff, all of whom are very approachable and attentive. Every staff member makes you feel welcome, as if you're at home. iRoHa is located in Phnom Penh's quiet embassy district a stone's throw away from some of the city's major sights. However it is calm and peaceful within the grounds of the hotel. To have such peaceful and beautiful gardens and scenery in the heart of Phnom Penh is a delight. The swimming pool is excellent, food and breakfast is of a high standard and the rooms are creatively put together with real thought. If we were ever to return to Phnom Penh we would book this hotel immediately. We stayed on the third floor with a balcony. If this room is available then we would recommend, sitting outside watching the sunset, reading a book is quite something.

United StatesWould come back to Phnom Penh just to stay at this hotel again. Loved everything about the hotel but most importantly the staff were so incredibly genuine and kind. I have stayed anywhere from budget hostels to five star resorts and this hotel gets everything that is actually/truly important, right; you can really tell that a lot of thought and care went into designing the property and the experience. Please do yourself a favor and stay at the iRoHa

AustraliaNothing.
The staff members are thoroughly competent and appropriately attentive, and they are just lovely people to interact with. The owner is similarly friendly and thoughtful. He introduced himself upon my arrival and shared helpful tips about Phnom Penh. The room was delightful and completely comfortable. The pool was for me just the right temperature - not too cold. The garden is gorgeous. It is lush and well-cared-for. The food and drinks were delicious and service was timely. Staff helped with tuk tuk bookings and other requests. This hotel is charming. There is no sense of it being in the middle of a heaving metropolis because it is so peaceful, yet the location is close to lots of attractions. It was the perfect start to my Cambodian trip. I would definitely go back.

United StatesNothing. This was the best hotel we stayed in on our 3 weeks of vacation.
If I could give this hotel a 10++, I would. It had all the criteria I look for in a nice hotel; clean, safe and everything functioning correctly, but it was the details that made this place stand out, such as a full length mirror, excellent overhead lighting that can be adjusted depending on which lights you choose to use, and many easy to reach outlets, including by the beds. The welcoming treats were delicious, and the room has a tea and coffee service provided as well as a minibar. I ate at the restaurant numerous times and the included breakfast had a wide range of choices, both Asian and Western. The dinner menu was more limited but the several vegan options were delicious and filling. The quiet location worked for us as we were taking day tours that picked us up and dropped us off at the hotel. Tuk tuks and transfers can easily be arranged at the reception.

FranceThe iRoHa hotel was my gateway to Cambodia, and the door swung wide open as soon as I stepped out of the tuktuk as I’ve been greeted by attentive and smiling staff. The place is like an urban oasis, a haven of relaxation in the middle of the city hustle, and just secluded enough to enjoy the sought-after tranquility. I have an incredibly memorable impression of the warmth and kindness of the entire staff, which has forever changed my perception of hospitality: your home may not be the one you claim, but rather where you're welcomed as such. « Welcome home, sir » Sincerely, thank you.

Saudi ArabiaEverything was excellent at the hotel. The staff is very attentive, the owner himself comes to greet every guest and ask if everything is satisfactory. The rooms are large and very comfortable, the bed is comfortable too. There is complimentary coffee capsules given daily and water with free refills. The breakfast is great too, lots of options and delicious. The breakfast timings are great (all day breakfast until late in the evening so you're not rushed to wake up to eat while on holidays). The dining at the hotel restaurant also has great options in terms of food and drinks. The property is lovely, its like a little oasis in the middle of a busy city. The area is quiet and secure (behind the Vietnam embassy). The pool area is beautiful and very comfortable, the pool is large enough to enjoy with other guests and theres lots of seating around the pool too. Bonus, the hotel has an adorable cat who is unfortunately difficult to find at times but very sweet. The hotel might be a bit far from the palace and pagoda (15min tuktuke ride), however it is 20-minute walk to S-21 prison and very close to the russian market. It is also closer in distance to the killing fields compared to if you leave from the city centre. There are also lots of great restaurants and bars in the area which are all at walking distance too. Overall would highly recommend staying here for your trip to the capital. When we come back to Phnom Penh we will definitely be staying here again.

AustraliaA lush very quiet oasis in the middle of a busy city. 1 USD on Grab to get most places. All day Breakfast until 9pm at night. Something on the menu for western, local and Asian. I liked the Cambodian and Asian. In a Secure Enclave half way a long a security controlled street. You enter by ringing door bell and staff welcome you home. You exit by staff escorting you to entrance wishing you a good time. At check in the Japanese owner greets you and provides good info. Indeed he also visits at breakfast to ensure you are ok and what you are up to for the day once again providing info if required. On departure he even emerged to wheel our bags to the Taxi and wish us farewell. Staff are all awesome. Iroha is an experience and not just another boutique hotel. Massage by Samantha was sensational. We highly recommend. If you are disabled or very elderly it may not be for you as no lift yet only 2 flight of stairs and staff carry all baggage. You would need to request ground floor.

United KingdomNothing to be honest. But for some constructive criticism...food service a little slow and staff at times forgetful; would be good to have more seating around the pool, particularly for families.
Very friendly, attentive and helpful staff. All day breakfast. Good quality food. Tranquil environment. The management went out of their wait to ensure we got a room right next to our children.

Probably one of the best hotels I've ever stayed in. Staff were so lovely. Could not do enough. Owner made an effort to welcome us and chat at breakfast. Breakfast was beautiful and nothing was too much trouble. Food in the restaurant for dinner was also amazing. Felt very safe while there as you have to buzz to get in. Surrounding was fabulous. Massage was one of the nicest I've had. Would highly recommend staying here. I want to go back soon!
