Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomIt was a little far from everything but we hired a scooter to get around which you will need to do it Kep. Nothing to do with the property but the dogs at the entrance alley can be a little hostile at night so just be careful.
I liked that there was a restaurant on the rooftop, the owners were always so kind and cooked us food whenever we went up there - the chips were amazing! The hosts were so friendly and really helpful, they have the sweetest black labrador too. Room was pristine, slept well, quiet at night, no complaints.

United KingdomIt was all good
We loved it here. The sun terrace on the top floor is a dream and the free wonky bicycle rental really was perfect. The room itself was biiiig and the building must have been built smartly, as even though we only used a fan it wasn’t too hot at all. The location is good too, it’s close to a cheapish guesthouse and many local shops along the main road. The bed was super cosy and the hosts were very helpful too with onward travel and scooter rental.

United StatesI stayed here my second day in Cambodia 🇰🇭 and my last night in Cambodia! If you need a motorbike just stay here, if you want great fresh quality food, stay here! Help support this lovely family, don’t look anywhere else! Their English is great and always willing to help you! Don’t think twice if you’re in the area!

United StatesI personally have nothing negative to say. I knew what to expect from reviews and when I got here everything was even better!
My second night in Kep I stayed here at the Khmer house! I wish I would have found this place for my first night as well. ( I was recommended here by my 🛺 Tuk tuk driver) I was able to pay online with my credit card which is helpful when I’m trying to conserve cash. The husband and wife here are two amazing people willing to do what they can to help. I’m here for a short visa run and didn’t bring a lot of cash with me. After trying to eat at many local restaurants my visa or Mastercard wouldn’t work via Apple Pay. I rented a scooter from them as well for $6 a day. Scrambled eggs 🍳 is $1.50 and the pancake is $2.50! For the quality of food and the availability to rent a scooter is well worth staying here! Don’t hesitate to book this location!

CanadaMountain + ocean views from the restaurant upstairs. Just 4 min scooter ride from middle of Kep which was nice to have less noise. Very reasonable priced rooms, clean and calm, delicious food available. It’s a wholesome feeling place; family run and they have an old dog that will lovingly welcome a head scratch, if you don’t mind he’s a bit scruffy. I think his name is Lucky. <3 Would recommend an air conditioned room over non air con.

United KingdomSlightly further out of town so need to take transport/walk to restaurants outside property. We are in hotel’s restaurant one night, and next door at the Monkey Potes another night as it was raining hard!
Lovely family running this guesthouse, popular scooter hire and some free push bikes available (not the best - recommend short distance only!). Area on rooftop was nice, spacious room and staff able to organise trips, buses etc. Free drinking water a bonus. Recommend a hike to the National Park!

CambodiaI loved the location as it was set back from the road and only a 25-30 minute pleasant walk into the town. The food was very good value and the banana jam was amazing. The double room was a very good size as was the bathroom. The bed was very comfortable. The owners were incredibly helpful and nothing was too much trouble.
