Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. AustraliaThe pictures did not reflect how the establishment looks now. The bungalows are nice from the outside but inside they are grubby & dated. We had a standard room but it should at least be clean. The sun loungers are all cracked, worn and faded. The pool did not look particularly clean either. It is a tranquil setting with palm trees and shrubs. The bed was comfortable, the shower ok and air conditioning worked well and we also had a fan.
The staff were very nice and helpful and it is a tranquil setting. Kep Beach is about a 15-20 minute walk linen was changed as often as we liked and coffee etc replenish ed every day. Nice places to eat are Art Cafe and Saravoan.

United KingdomWas very run down and needs some maintenance. The room was big but not very clean and was basic. No hair dryer or safe. No hangers in wardrobe. Shower was dreadful, trickled out and was cold. Over all was not very clean. TV didn’t work and air con worked poorly and fan part was held open with tissue. Electrics were very dodgy and got a shock a few times. Lots of ants in room and outside, got bitten a lot despite using bug spray. Due to not having a safe, had to hide money well but appeared to go missing. £200. Moved it regularly and room was never cleaned but still went missing. Paid a lot to stay here and was very very over priced for what we got.
The location is nice and quiet. Easy access to Kep and not far from Kampot if you have transport.

The food was delicious and well priced though the Crab Markets and other choices were close by. The fresh water pool provided a delightful way to relax and cool down. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Overall the location and price make this stay a winner on all fronts. My Kep home

South AfricaSometimes noisy neighbors. Wish there were more pool umbrellas. We liked our stay at Kep Bungalows. It's very peaceful during most of the day and night.
Beautiful tranquil nature. The staff is always welcoming and friendly. The beds were very comfortable. Sitting on the balcony having coffee and listening to the birds. Amazing restaurants with a wide selection of food close to Kep Bungalows.

CambodiaThere was no wifi in the room where we were staying which was not great. The room was rather dark - I wish it was a little brighter.
The location was excellent with a lot of green and nature. The pool was a lot of fun for the kids. The breakfast was very tasty, and not too pricey. I think it was pretty good over all.
