Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomA roach, but I sent it down the toilet, but this is Asia.
I was very surprised at the quality of the room and the size, near the Palace, down a quiet cul-de-sac. Staff helpfull, internet and a few good English channels on the TV.

Francethe breakfast was average.
The decorum (impressive khmer-baroque style!), the nice views from my room on the 10th floor, good Internet, quiet, the dining room bordering the swimming pool on the roof-top (14th floor) with stunning views at night. By the way I managed to upscale my stay from Okay Palace Hotel to its neighbouring "bigger brother" The Okay Boutique Hotel in Phnom Penh

SwedenBuilding was tall. I recommend to ask for a room high up for brightness and view. I had the opportunity to move to 10th floor after one night at a lower level. Lots of wood carving objects everywhere. Helpful staff.

New ZealandWe were transported to our hotel by a tuk tuk driver associated with Giant Ibis bus company who insisted he was coming back the next day to take us on a tour. We told him very firmly, no. At 8am the next morning we started receiving phone calls from reception that our 'driver' was here to take us out for the day. We asked reception to tell him to leave. After this we received 4 more calls and reception then escorted the driver to our room. This is not acceptable. Said driver then followed us around Phnom Penh for the rest of the day. Mildly unnerving.
The hotel is situated down an alley, around the back of its sister hotel and therefore very quiet. The rooftop pool was lovely although the attached bar wasn't open. The room was beautiful!!!

United KingdomFor breakfast you have to leave the building and walk around the corner to the OKAY Palace Hotel. But that’s a very minor thing…wouldn’t put anyone off staying here at all.

United KingdomWould've been 10 out of 10 except for - They have tried to "black out" the glass panels in the balcony doors but there is no curtain*. A finger sized door "gap" mean mozzies still find their way in, even on the 9th floor. (You will bruise your legs on the chunky bed.) 2 out of 3 pool parasols need repairing. This pool bar restaurant is closed, in favour of the one atop the sister hotel nextdoor. I found myself tidying the terrace on several mornings, putting pool furniture back in place, and clearing discarded room towels, bottles & tinnies. Might I suggest 1x daily inspection at dusk & a net to scoop out the bugs. The staff seeed more interested in installing pretty fairy lights around the balustrades. Several carpet runners have been laid because the patio tiles are hot ! 👍🏼 Free guest flip flops are provided but mine were odd sizes & far too small to wear. (I took them to reception on day #1 but they were never replaced.) I messaged our arrival time, so why not turn the fridge on !? I had to move a huge piece of furniture to plug it in !
Rooms are just as opulent as they appear in the listing. We had a dual aspect superior corner room with great city views from multiple windows. Net voiles & thicker curtains*. Chunky darkwood colonial style furniture with king centrepiece bed and additional couch. Big wetroom with powerful shower. Plentiful toiletries. Cleaned every other day. Replenished bottled water. English news on TV including BBC & Sky. Fridge. Safe, plus key lock drawer for attache case. Remote controls for the AC & ceiling fan. (Fan can be set at very slow speed for a pleasant gentle breeze.) Multi lighting options, (but no bedside reading lamps.) Both U.K. & Twin round plug sockets. My request for extra pillow and extra towel were dealt with swiftly. Excellent little rooftop pool. About 1.5km from Independence Monument + Park & Statue of His Maj. Many beautiful pagodas close by, (as seen from the pool terrace.) About 2 blocks away is Street 172. Frequented by locals and ex-pats. Good for sports coverage, pool players, pub grub, cocktails & cheap draught beer. Other cuisines also availabe. (More mature than bawdy Bassac Street.) Sick of fizzy lager ? Check out Hops Craft Brewery & Beer Garden about 15-20 mins walk away.
