Prices (food/drinks) were higher than we had experienced elsewhere in Cambodia. Rooms were hot but this was because the aircon wasn't working properly - this was being fixed as we left.

Certainly the most charming place in Kampot. Every detail was carefully considered, the overall cleanliness was exceptional, the staff were very helpful and welcoming. We enjoyed a great breakfast and afternoon gin&tonic by the pool. The common area was beautifully decorated with many plants and paintings.

Everything is fantastic, only wish we could have stayed longer!

Firstly, this hotel only has 8 rooms, so if it's available and you are reading this, then book it immediately! We were lucky enough to stay in the Superior King Suite and it is exceptional. The whole hotel has been restored/renovated in the style of a cinema, it has been expertly done. Every corner of the hotel has a design feature that reflects a time gone by, yet is clean and modern. Everything about the hotel oozes quality, the food, the cocktails, the breakfast! The staff are very approachable and attentive and you feel truly looked after. We were only in Kampot for 1 night and one of the reasons we made a detour there, was to experience this hotel. Absolutely delighted that we did.

Gilly, Simone and the rest of the team at the Old Cinema hotel went out of their way to give us a great stay. The atmosphere at the hotel is really good, the food is amazing and the people are just so nice. The rooms themselves were good and very clean. We celebrated my moms birthday there and I could order a cake that was prepared by the chef and they even helped us decorate with banners/balloons. The location is also great, we usually stay around the river when in Kampot but loved being more close and at walking distance from everything in town this time around. You can also ask the hotel to help you organize trips around the area. All in all, we will come back for sure and can recommend going here to everyone!

Hotel was a true boutique hotel with lots of little extras. Breakfast was amazing as was the restaurant in general. The staff couldn’t be more helpful and assisted with onward travel arrangements. This is a really lovely place to stay and would highly recommend

Mattress was a little hard for my taste, but that seems to be fairly standard in many of the hotels we have stayed in in Cambodia over the past few days.

Stunning and imaginative decor, it was so great to see the restoration of this art deco cinema bringing the building back to life. We are from London and it reminded us of the Biba store of the 1970s…really friendly and welcoming staff too.

I would like to have awarded a score of 10 but I have to take one point away for allowing smoking in the indoor/outdoor bar area (not the restaurant or bedrooms). A small point and one which shouldn't put you off booking one of the best hotels in Kampot, but it does let the hotel down (owners: room for improvement here)

This hotel is a former cinema now lovingly restored in Art Deco style. It has a definite wow appeal when you first enter the lobby and the bedrooms. The owners and staff are warm, friendly, attentive and helpful and create a very welcoming atmosphere. The bedrooms are large, quirky, spotlessly clean and have good air con. The small pool, restaurant and lobby are very tastefully decorated. The breakfast is outstanding. We had an evening meal there on one night and it was delicious and value for money. The location is just 5 minutes walk from the old town yet is very quiet. There are lots of super cafes and restaurants nearby to the hotel. Kampot has an alternative, relaxed atmosphere and is well worth a visit. This hotel is to be recommended.

Nothing, everything was sensational.

Very clean comfortable room. The decor was beautiful, the room had everything you need for a great stay, including lovely white bathrobes. We arrived late in the afternoon after a long bus ride, so it was wonderful to be able to cool off in the swimming pool. Dinner and breakfast in the restaurant were both outstanding. Delicious, fresh food that was beautifully presented. Would highly recommend this hotel .

A beautiful and stylish place to stay in the middle of Kampot. The staff are very welcoming and helpful. They gave us advice on trips to do locally and could arrange for local guides at fair prices. The swimming pool bar area was great fun.
