William was probably the most attentive and friendly manager we have encountered in our six months of travelling around South East Asia. From the free drink on arrival to the excellent food served, to the help with activity bookings, to the all around welcoming presence, he really goes above and beyond. Rooms are cleaned daily, there is free mini golf and pool on site, and there's always a corny movie playing in the bar area during the afternoon. The hotel is only a 5-10 minute walk from the river front where most restaurants and bars are located, but there are some additional options on the same street too. The hotel is quiet and easy to get a good night's sleep in. Netflix in the room that actually works unlike most places was an added bonus to help escape the hot afternoons!

Staff, under the guidance of the owner, William, was always on top of everything! A/C out? William was on the phone to the mechanic. Anything and everything relating to the guesthouse was overseen and handled efficiently. We had a four night stay and ate exclusively at the hotel. You will be hard pressed to find larger meals in Cambodia and everything was cooked to near perfection. Truly enjoyed our stay, William, and if we do anymore getaways to Kampot, you know where we will be staying! Side note: William, as some of you may know from the reviews, lived in Alaska. So did the wife some years ago and I and imagine our surprise on finding out that he knew my ex-boss! Gives new meaning to "It's a small world". LOL

The hotel was well presented and the room was very clean. Breakfast was excellent. The owner, William, put us in touch with Mr Phary as Tuk Tuk driver. +855 86 65 03 30. We’d definitely recommend using him. He did a great tour of salt fields, cave and secret lake. Also dropped us at pepper plantation which is definitely worth a visit. Mr Phary also took us to Kep the next day when we hiked in the Kep National Park which was amazing too.

The owner was full of energy and a great host. Mini golf was a nice addition my 4 year daughter enjoyed it. The food was good too. 5 minutes walk to Riverside/bar area so it was close enough but quiet too. I'd stay here again if I returned to kampot. The room was cleaned daily and spotless 😊

One thing missing a bit is a fridge in the room. But considering the distance to the store this is not a significant problem.

Building turns into a locked compound at night and on Sunday afternoons (you get a key, it’s just a minor inconvenience to let yourself in and out). We booked the external bathroom room, which we knew in advance, but was still annoying.

Nice building, good facilities, friendly staff. Reasonable prices for high quality food and drinks (English Breakfast was good). Will is extremely friendly and accommodating, if a little overboard.

it's a shame William could not arrange all of the tours or tickets for buses and transportation (although he has a great tuk tuk driver for a brilliant tour in the countryside). also, the selection of movies William shows every afternoon is really debatable (for reference, when we were there, the Meg 2 was on...)...only joking anyway!!

William is the greatest host: friendly, always available for a chat or an advice, and always smiling. also, the food served comes in huge portions, especially at lunch (but also at breakfast!)

No kettle or fridge in room and shower not separate. No elevator but staff carried our bags up to our room.

Owned and run by a very helpful American gentleman, this property is in lovely setting and securely locked at night. Clean modern room. Restaurant with Western food available for breakfast and brunch. Motorbike hire across the road US$5 a day.

We had only one option to make a tour with someone recommended in the hotel. It was a bit expensive for what it was ( the tour price and money goes to the TukTuk guy - 25USD). You might check other options in the small town.

This is by far, one of the best hotels in Cambodia. When I read that in other reviews I thought, people are exaggerating, but you know after traveling around the country and being in more than 10 hotels, it is true. You can expect the room exactly as it is in the pictures, comfortable, clean, good size and the service is super good. William as a host is incredible. He has put so many years and dedication in his hotel that you can notice that. Food was also great and big portions! Price fair. We had fun with the mini golf! And with the cocktails in the happy hour. Thanks again for everything!
