Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

BelgiumDoes bring me to another point... It's waaaay smarter to go here by car. That way you can visit more places. Not my finest travel planning moments. But we live and we learn.
It is such a beautiful place, very quite and surrounded on all sides by the mountains. I was very lucky with the weather and could enjoy the beautiful views. The host was very friendly and helpful - you can honestly ask him anything. Even to get you from the train or like he did for me, bring me to the train station. Very yellow sunflower room was appriciated.

GermanyDue to being a pension in the midst of beautiful mountains, coming with your own car makes things much easier. But I had akso no issues using taxis to get to Pyeongchang station and back, and from there to use public transport to get to the popular destinations as i.e. Odaesan National Park.
If you're looking for a pension within the mountains with a beautiful view as well as a very welcoming and accommodating host, I strongly recommend this place. The pension is directly facing Geumdang-Mountain and the valley, and the surroundings couldn't have been more pristine and peaceful. When I asked him for some recommendations regarding local taxi drivers through this app, he offered me to pick me up from Pyeongchang station without me asking for it. Right after pick-up, he gave me a tour of the area and also took me to a fantastic restaurant serving trout sashimi (송어회) when he found out that I hadn't eaten lunch yet. He also gave me a different room with a balcony without additional charges instead of the one I had booked when I told him that I came especially for the mountain view. Throughout my stay, he did his utmost to make my stay as enjoyable as possible. The room was clean, comfortable, and very spacious for a single person. If you travel alone, I recommend you book the "Rose/Jangmi" room (장미) - because the view from the balcony was as great as promised. But next time, I will certainly come back with friends, as he offers plenty of more soacious options as well as to grill for your bbq if you bring your own meet. While you should bring your own food, you can also buy water, beer and makgeolli from him for reasonable prices.

SingaporeI got the ground floor unit by the main building so when other guests walk or make noise it’s a bit if noise. Not a problem when you get the other individual units or 2nd floor.
It’s got a fantastic view of the mountain. The owner is very friendly, speaks English and accommodating. He even let me use laundry facilitates no charge. You can even bbq here and he will help you with d pit. When I arrived it was night time with no food and he gave me food supplies to cook at no charge. The town area is a bit of a distance but he will wither drive you there or help you call a taxi. I stayed there a week to get away from hustle n bustle of city n Seoul and absolutely enjoyed myself.

United StatesThe shower in the family room was a little out of our “normal” so we were not able to bathe our baby, other than that we did have to walk a few steps to the common area for things like a toaster, can opener, microwave, etc. The host gave us everything we needed without hesitation so there was not anything we did not love about our stay!
This property was BEAUTIFUL. We stayed for a weekend so we could ski at Phoenix Ski Resort. Although there are a lot of up and down hill to get to this location, it was well worth the quiet home feel this cabin gave. My family and I were so grateful that the host was so accommodating, caring, sweet, and genuine about helping in any way he could. He spoke English very well, so it made our stay comfortable and not as “unknown” in an area we were knew to. The host offered to make us anything from coffee—to starting and maintaining the grill so we could cook.

South KoreaThe road up the pension was a bit nerve wracking to drive the first few times, and the bed wasn’t the most comfortable, but that’s standard for Korean beds.
The view from the property was beautiful, and the host was so accommodating and kind. He served us a delicious breakfast everyday and gave us recommendations on where to go on the area. Can’t wait to go back!
