How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

For our commute to the airport, we wanted to book a taxi upfront. The staff was very helpful and made the reservation. But 1 day before our trip to the airport, we double-checked our reservation at the counter, just to be sure. Turned out the booking was not made. Luckily we checked it. A different person then made the reservation.
Great location. Room was nice and clean.

Room was a little small, just a double bed for two. There was only one kind of fruit for breakfast. The cooks could be a little more creative in having a few different dishes each day, for those of us who stay a few nights. Everyday was the same everyday.
Location was great. Staff was attentive. Room was made up each day.

The double bed is a small bed. Shower is in bath and was not enclosed so water came out onto the bathroom floor.

The size of the room is a bit small for three guests, and although there are three separate single beds, it could have been one huge bed as they were literaly just inches from each other.
Chris Kim who checked us in was very pleasant and very helpful. Rooms are clean.

The fitness centre was basically one machine for chest presses and 3 treadmills.
It had a great location, clean room, very helpful staff and was perfect for a four night stay.

The language barrier was difficult at times so before I go back again (planning on going mid 2025) I'll make an effort to learn more.
As first time visitors to Seoul the location was perfect, very close to excellent department store, night market, restaurants, good bus service. Everything we needed plus Starbucks right next door for morning coffee 😄 Biggest plus for me was feeling safe wandering around at night. As a K-drama fan one of my highlights was visiting the Seoul Tower, day and night and other seeing other areas that frequently pop up. I'm also a huge BTS fan and there was so much memorabilia around and hearing their music being played in stores was a huge treat.

We were fortunate enough to stay in one of the suites, which you pay a premium for, however we did have a few issues due to poor maintenance - terrace door handle was broken and so unable to open the door, so could not access the terrace. Bathroom taps were loose and would fall off, towel hooks that were loose. Minor issues, but for a suite, you would expect higher quality maintenance to reflect the price being paid to stay in these rooms. Breakfast service is nothing special and not worth the price you would pay for it.
Location of hotel is perfect to see all of the key sights in Seoul. The Lotte Department store and its great food court (in the basement) are at the doorstep of the hotel. You can walk or catch a bus to main locations in Seoul. Hotel room was very comfortable, and we enjoyed our stay.

Breakfast is ordinary, it’s better to eat somewhere outside.
