The room could have been cleaner. There was a lot of hair on the couch, the blankets and towels all had yellow stains, there were ants under the bed, and there was still leftover toothpaste of the previous guests in our bathroom.

We really liked how large the room was and that we had a balcony to look out over the sea. The free coffee and filtered water in the lobby was great. The staff was absolutely amazing and superkind meeting our requests.

No elevator! My mom had leg surgery, and she had to walk up to the 4th floor.

The deep set dirt was quite visible in some places, especially the bathroom (the sink was leaking blue liquid somewhere behind it and it was going down into the shower), towels (I think they do their own laundry, so there were stains like from curry sauce, visible) and between the bed and the wall (there was about 20 cm between the bed and the wall, so there really was no reason for a cobweb in the corner). To hell with the dust on the balcony, I don't care about that, but the hunderd years old dirt was bugging me. :(

The place is in the middle of nowhere, so it's better to book this one if you have your own transport. There's bus running, but your own transportation gives you more freedom. Also don't book this hotel is you are sensitive to noise - there are tracks close to the resortel and the trains stop running around midnight. We didn't mind, since we are used to noise. The nearby beach is amazing and it's literally behind the corner. The resortel is quite big, divided into east and west wing, most of the rooms have balcony and are facing the beach. The room was just like on the pictures, big enough for two people (we had standard room with single bed for 2), with it's own kitchen, AC was working fine, so was TV. Which actually surprised me there was TV, since it's 2* resortel. There's a small 'convenience store' by the reception desk, which is a nice touch, since the nearest 7 Eleven is kinda far and you would have to walk on the road.

A comfortable hotel for 2-night stay. Location wise may be a little hard should you don't have your own transport. Central heating on the floor is a little too hot for our liking otherwise overall is good.

It was clean and comfortable. The balcony attached was great. I can enjoy the sea view and also the sound of the waves, it was very quiet. The kitchen attached in the room was very useful too, fully equipped with kitchen utensils.

location is near by Deungmyeongbeach in Gangneung city. a quiet and beautiful place. we can seethe beach in our room,and hear the waves. It`s a great place.

They charged us seperately for BBQ, and it was only allowed in a designated place. Other staff was great except one who was a bit rude.

One of the staff was very kind, I asked him to change my room and he accepted my request. The view was fantastic. In the morning we enjoyed the sunrise.

Bed too hard, no elevator and more importantly: so extremely noisy. Doors slamming, furniture being moved, kids screaming and loud music until late at night. Then got woken up at 7am by, again, doors slamming, furniture being moved around, kids jumping and screaming and music. I came here to rest and get away from the busy life in Seoul but instead left very tired and annoyed. If you want to have a good rest, this isn't the place.

The walls were paper thin, there wasn’t an elevator so guests should be prepared to climb up to 6 floors, room has stains, bed was hard to sleep on, and the view was limited (building sits on angle so don’t get a direct ocean view).

The place was pretty removed from the nearest "town" or even convenience store, for that matter. Dawoo does offer a limited selection of snacks and such by the front desk, but other than that you need you venture into town.

I've been to Dawoo Resortel in the busy summer and the mellower fall, and both times led to relaxing and comfortable stays. Nothing like the sounds of waves to lull you into a peaceful sleep! Will definitely be back again!
