Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaThe hotel was superbe, near to many restaurants, but the hotel restaurant was pricy. It may be nice for dinner or room service set.
The suite was very beautiful created in the traditional Korean style. We were welcomed with fruit and wine for our anniversary. The staff were very helpful especially for taxi help. The hotel has private gardens for guests.

GermanyWe choose the location for our last night before flying out via Incheon airport. A lot of the room equipment looked already quite used and had marks and stains. Additionally there was a huge electrical massage chair in the bedroom, completely destroying the „original“ feeling. The staff was nice but only the manager was able to communicate in English. The stay was okay but didn‘t fit with price point.
The original style of the overall location. It is located nicely to a pond area and some restaurants.

AustraliaA few things . 1. For a 5 star hotel didn’t have 24 hour room service 2. The sunken wooden bath is beautiful but you cant put bubbles in it 3. We told the staff no pork for breakfast. So fist day was fine . Second day there was pork on the breakfast plate . We told them so they said will make new . When brougy back I started eating but ooops a piece of pork staring right at me under the scrambled eggs. That ruined it for me 3. They have Hannok’s for rental . For such an expensive hotel make it free for the guests

United KingdomThe bath tubs, although aesthetically lovely, are currently unpleasant even when not in use. Either the wood is not suitable for the purpose that they are made for, or ours requires maintenance that it hasn't received. I realised that if the bathroom fan was not turned on that the whole apartment would rapidly start to smell of mould. The smell was there even with the fans on but less immediately noticeable. After a day I realised this was the tub. The wood has black mould under the rim of the upper ledge, it appeared to have been there long enough to be penetrating the wood, and some of the structure was warping and discoloured. Although I had seen some mould in bathrooms elsewhere in the city during my stay, this was the only time that it had been bad enough that I could smell it, as in other places it had been limited to patches of grout or sealant rather than getting into timber. I realised elsewhere in the hotel buildings, most noticeably the exterior, that areas of it have worn pale and are flaking too. To me this suggests that either the wood used in the construction was not treated to the standard required for repeated exposure to water, or it hasn't had the maintenance required to keep it resistant to it. I imagine that the high humidity of the summers makes this a bit of a challenge, however, this was not an issue I noticed while walking around traditional residential areas in Seoul even those where renovations had been completed recently. The bathroom also had a strange bit of wall art, I had spotted it hung on a screw, and then that it was off center. Turns out it was hung to cover a hole in the wall, not just a chipped tile but a hole. There is also a lot of paper wrinkling in various locations, specifically the tea room, which suggest further humidity problems.
The buildings are beautiful, sympathetic to the traditional aesthetic while providing comfortable and modern accommodation. The closest I've had to a holiday cottage while staying in a hotel, the suites are spacious and having a private outdoor space really takes it to another level. Coming back to our rooms was like coming back home, comfortable and perfectly cool. The TV in a sitting area was perfect for me as I can't stand watching from bed but it's nice to unwind with a show after a long day of walking and socialising. But there is one in the bedroom if that's your jam. Though all the electric things with lights on in the bedroom took some getting used too, I prefer it dark when sleeping but I can't complain when the green light is providing a lovely cool room to sleep in. The view over wooden architecture makes an exciting vista of the skyscrapers that surround the Central Park area. It was far more satisfying of a blend than I would have imagined it to be. The location wasn't only beautiful but also incredibly convenient, central, close to shops and only a short walk from the nearby subway. The area is walker and cyclist friendly with often only a few crossings taken before you can dip into a park to continue your journey amongst trees instead of being stuck next to cars. Facilities were mostly lovely, with a complimentary assortment of snacks and drinks provided each day. A whole selection of useful bits were provided, a microwave, a kettle, goblets in addition to the more predictable glasses. We were so well provisioned that I was surprised when I couldn't find something I would have liked on hand. The machine in our kitchenette area that provided ice or hot water or cold water was especially useful given how hot it was during our stay. The shiatsu chair was an entertaining, if surprising addition, even if I'm unconvinced that it really fits, aesthetically or physically, in the rooms. The staff were helpful and friendly.

South KoreaPoor maintenance. I was able to find water stain on the wall painting, dents on the tiles in the restroom, clogged water drain of the sink, unclosed hatch (for maintenance) on the ceiling. I was even able to see some writing through the wallpaper (probably written during the interior work). The iconic wood tub was also seemed to need some repair or refurbish. There were multiple black stains probably due to mold.

United KingdomFor a 5 star hotel, a lots of things were bad tough. First, getting in touch with the hotel was incredibly hard, and only got a reply regarding an enquiry the day before my reservation. Second, but much more important, communicating in English was almost impossible for very simple things like booking a taxi and the time for breakfast. For the price paid and the standard the hotel sets, this was quite bad.
The property is incredible as it creates this contrast with the modern skyscrapers all around it.
