Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

CanadaShower door leaked onto the bathroom floor daily, motion sensor hall light got stuck into always on, found a work around, no place to put our third suitcase which ended up on floor, but that was ok. No face cloths.
Great location. We really liked our room. More space then expected and super quiet. Amenities, toiletries, coffee/tea service were good. Liked the wall pegs for hanging our stuff up and the little fold up chairs and table. We were in Queen with single bunk and we moved the bunk mattress into our room entry hall for our daughter because it was too hot up top for her. Worked out great, lots of space and hotel seemed ok with it. Filtered water tap available for kettle and our water bottles was great. Tiniest fridge I've ever seen. Cute but worked. Fancy toilet with heated seat was fun. Our one small garbage can and recycling bin were taken out daily, fresh towels daily and amenities refreshed including little chocolates for 3 too!

Location superb. Close to Myeongdong & Euljiro-1 subways which got us to all attractions. And 2 stops from M Stn to Seoul train station. Ambient, boutique hotel with good vibe and friendly staff. Good free wifi. Showers great, completely enclosed. Full size western style towels. Lots of power points.

New ZealandThe room is such a good size for the price you pay - especially the bathroom, it is a lot bigger than other hotels I’ve been to! It’s also very clean and the bar in the lobby is a great place to wind down and relax.

AustraliaNone. We loved everything.
We loved the topnotch service, location and rooms of Moxy Myeongdong! Our stay started very well with the great experience from arriving to checking in. All the staff are always so corteous and will always find ways to look after you. We appreciated that the hotel has a laundry free for use too. The location is optimal - at the fringe of myeongdong where there’s not much crowds but extremely close to all the action, street food, and shops. We will stay here again when we come back to Seoul.

GermanyThe Coffee at breakfast is only lukewarm and not very tasty. Otherwise no improvement needed.
The Moxy-Concept throughout the World is just fabulous, of course as well in Moxy Myeongdong. Perfect location to explore Soul, close to Dining and Shopping, CLEAN, super friendly staff, trendy atmosphere. The Beds were amazing. The curtains block out the lights and noise from outside. Definitely recommended for a stay in Seoul. And will definitely come back.

United StatesWe didn’t have free bfast but the hotel gave us one day complimentary so we had it once. It was fine. Maybe it was just our day, as the menu changes. Big menu but just okay.
This was an incredible hotel! The location is absolutely amazing. You are right by the nightmarket in Myrongdong but you do not hear it from your room. So you have food, entertainment, incredible vibe, right around the corner every night that you can enjoy. During the day it’s much quieter but there are still lots of shops and restaurants. It is also very centrally located. We could walk easily to NamsanTower, Insadong Street, NamdaeMoon market, and there are many subway stops very close by. The bathroom is incredible. The shower is wonderful with a rain shower and hand held, but the toilet is out of this world. That sounds crazy, but it is this smart toilet with bidet system and heated seat and just makes you feel so luxurious. The room is tight with two queen beds with the “feet” of each bed touching each other, but they had lots of hooks on the wall for hanging things up. And a water filter that filled water for free in your room. Also a free self laundry service. I would definitely recommend anybody staying there! The beds are firm, but all the beds in Korea are. I enjoy a firm bed, so I thought it was great. And they have queen beds, which is also hard to find in Korea. But the location and bathroom and decor really stick out.

AustraliaHey genie had to understand my accent which it did by the end of the stay. But at the start I had to say single words and then I feel we formed a great relationship I had never used a Samsung TV before so had to google how to change channel and turn up down volume! Small fridge and wasnt totally sure it was a fridge to start with. Can get warm at night if you turn off air conditioning. Not.andidlike but a good to know. There was a nightshade and some electrical outlets underneath you would forget all up I hit my head three times on this. The
This hotel was amazing. I stayed for 16 days so I feel I have a good perspective on this hotel. The location is second to none. It's an extremely short walk from exit 5 of myeondong station and the 6015 airport bus. It's in the heart of myeondong without the noise. The rooms are amazing. For a solo traveller you can't ask for more. The shower was wonderful having two shower heads water pressure was great. The cleaners are fantastic. Danny the manager really helped me out when leaving. The bar staff were wonderful. The rooms come with great shampoo conditioner Body wash and hand gel wash They like all hotels provide a Vidal Sassoon hair dryer. They have two coffee machines on level 4 which can be accessed 24 hours a day. I spent a few nights a the hotel bar it was really welcoming.. At night they close the front entrance at 10pm and this is posted on the doors. The cleaners would leave mini Toblerone each day and I ate them all. There is a convenience store downstairs. The rooms are voice controlled by a hey genie device you can set your language to English if required . They provide you with a card on what to give Taxi driver in English and Korean. I could order two bottles of water via the hey genie concierge. There is a laundry with four washers and dryers. I met a lot of great people at this hotel and the hotel bar. You can control lights temperature of room set alarm order new linens and toilet rolls which I did once via the hey genie menu system. I could access my. Prime and Netflix, via the large Samsung TV which is not something you can do at all hotels. WiFi was excellent.. There is a very small fridge on the wall it is the black box - I had no clue what this was when I first got there. View from my room was awesome.. Many power outlets space in your room for your belongings. ALSO.. COMES WITH a water purifier which is invaluable as well. I drink 3 litres of water a day so this came in handy.
