Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

SwedenThe warm water for the bath seemed to run out quickly. I tried to take a bath and I got some hot water, but after that and the next days there was only cold water.
The staff (a woman who helped me check in) was very nice! The room was big and clean and there was a bathtub in the bathroom. It's quite close to a metro station.

GermanyUnfortunately the Ramen cooker in the entrance hall was out of order and the building has no elevator (as mentioned in the description). We only had one blanket with kind of slippery bed linen so it was difficult to share it properly.
We were happy to have our own bathroom (including a toilet and bathtub) and appreciated our own water dispenser (hot and cold water) in our room. We had enough space for two persons, a small fridge with water bottles, a tv, shower utensils and a hair dryer in our room. The location is super nice as the park with lots of sights as the Daegu tower or E-World are just next door and the metro station is just a 5 minute walk away. Convenience stores and restaurants are nearby as well. The owner is super friendly and always tried to help, even though we had to communicate via translation app mostly.

The low price was amazing, and the room was fine - clean and comfortable. Great value for money. It's opposite a beautiful park too.

SingaporeThe hot water gets reduced to roughly room temperature water (around 25-27 degrees C) when I tried to shower at 11pm. But in the morning it got back up to scalding hot. The ajuma running the front desk only speaks Korean, but she’s familiar with using Google translate on your phone.
For 32,000KRW a night and for its location, it is really unbeatable value! I even got a disposable dental hygiene set, a shaver, and facial foam. I got the special rooms on the back side of the property and it was huge! I didn’t have trouble finding the place, the entrance faced the main road and its big yellow sign (albeit in Hangeul) was obvious from the road. The nice ajuma at the front desk offered me an umbrella even after I checked out!

TurkeyThe entrance of the hotel was very old. When we entered, we had a small feeling of regret for booking here. But on the contrary, since the room was well-kept and pleasant, we thought we shouldn't be deceived by the first impression.
The room was clean and comfortable. You could smell the cleanliness from the moment you entered the room. They provided necessities such as shampoo, shower gel, hair spray, toothbrush and toothpaste, etc. The hotel was close to visiting points. The lady at the reception was nice and friendly.

Nice location, the entrance by the looks is a bit old, but the room is nice. It has not a big hotel vibe room, the owner is trying to compensate by giving you all the facilities needed and even more.

SwedenThe place looks very old, even if everything works it feels a bit off somehow. The location is good depending on what you want to do in Daegu - it's close to nature but "far" (20 min by bus) from the downtown area where you'd go to enjoy the night life with bars and clubs etc. Mosquitoes get inside in the most mysterious way, one of the nights I spent fighting the little buzzing blood sucking creatures instead of sleeping, which wasn't great...
The ladies running the place were really nice and lovely, don't speak English but they were okay with using translation apps (such as Papago). The room was very clean, big bathroom with bathtub, table to eat at, TV, refrigerator, water dispenser, fan and AC. Calm area close to Duryu Park, and easy to get to Apsan mountain by bus. Bus station, metro station, and convenience stores are located nearby. Fair price!

South KoreaMaybe the weak AC, but that's all.
For the price, I think the level of accommodation was enough. The reception wasn't really english-speaking, so beware of that. But overall, the place was spacious and bathroom was modern and clean. The AC in the room was not so strong, but fan saved us. No warm water after 2am. But overall really good!

NepalThat it is far from the heart of the city.
During my recent stay at a cozy hotel, I was truly amazed by the kindness and helpfulness of the owner, an elderly lady. Despite the language barrier as I didn't know Korean, she went above and beyond to assist me. Using her mobile phone, she diligently translated everything into English, ensuring effective communication. Her willingness to bridge the gap made me feel welcomed and valued. One particular instance left a lasting impression on me. As I was checking out from the hotel, I noticed it was drizzling outside. Without hesitation, the old lady presented me with a beautiful umbrella to shield me from the rain. Astonishingly, she didn't charge me for it, displaying her genuine generosity and concern for my well-being. The hotel room itself was impeccably clean and provided a tranquil atmosphere. Despite the presence of other guests in neighboring rooms, I was pleasantly surprised by the peacefulness and serenity I experienced. It created a perfect environment for relaxation and rejuvenation after a long day of exploring. Overall, my stay at this hotel was nothing short of remarkable. The owner's helpful nature, her adept use of technology to overcome language barriers, and the unexpected gift of an umbrella made my experience truly memorable. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone seeking a comfortable, peaceful, and welcoming accommodation.

FranceThe room was a bit old. The bad was very small in reality. Staff does not speak English, which might be a bit difficult for foreigners (she was super nice though). Definitely not bad and and very good for the price.
The motel is a little old but overall comfortable. There's everything you may need: shower gel and shampoo, soap, toothpaste, razor, lotion... The room is big and even has a table to eat and a mirror with a chair in front of it to put makeup on. The bed was comfortable as well. Really close to a nice park and a few minutes away from the city centre.
