Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesLocation was about 8 mins walk to the Olle Market; and about 10 mins walk to the bus stop to catch the Airport Limousine Bus to Jeju Airport (bus stop is outside the Casaloma Hotel). Washing machine in unit was extremely useful as we were traveling a bit. Bed was comfortable, AC worked well (they have heating floors too but we didn’t need to use them). Good showers.

AustraliaYou do get what you pay for, as the accommodation wasn't very clean when we got there with some stains on the curtains and the retractable table. The washing machine was very dirty and we didn't bother touching it. I did attempt to give it a wash but to no avail as there was a lot of buildup at the rubber gasket. Setting those aside, it was still a decent accommodation for the price and had free parking.
The hotel is located in a very convenient location within walking distance of most things for shopping and food at Seogwipo, and offers free parking on a first come first serve basis. It is an accommodation that has a lot to offer for the price you pay along with big sized rooms. There were an excess of cupboards for storage although we didn't use it.

SingaporeThey only gave 1 pillow that is small and flat but other than that, everything else is great!
There are convenience stores and restaurants peppered around the hotel. Short walk to the Olle Market too. The parking at the hotel is always full but parking at the sister hotel opposite is available.

PhilippinesA bit uphill walking distance from bus-stop was a challenge with heavy luggage but otherwise it wasn't so hard navigating around the area.
It's like a whole apartment in my Seogwipo stay. Large ref, a washer-dryer and bed was very comfy. And very affordable for the amenities presented. Near the local Olleh Market.

MalaysiaJeju seems to largely cater to local korean tourists so trying to get by with english was a little challenging. The hotel staff at reception werent very fluent in english and mixed up our taxi bookings.
Great location in seogwipo, close to food and in the arts district with lot of local art shops close by. Within walkin distance of jeongbang falls and the olle street markets. Room was comfortable for our family of 4, our room had 2 double beds in it overlooking the ocean. The breakfast was a small selection of western and local food, not great but enough to fill our bellies so we couls get out and see the sites all day.

SingaporeStaff not very friendly but polite, Limited English. I wanted to get 2nd card as we have 2 rooms, staff do not understand. have to use Google Translate to help. 2nd card needs a 10,000 won deposit. Bathroom is small but good enough. Parking within hotel building is very limited but the opposite is Shin Shin Ocean hotel, so can park there too.
Breakfast was good, Got Korean food and small buffet to choose from. Room with Sea View. TV has 100 over channels but TV difficult to turn on. Wash machine works well in room but no dryer, so have to hang all over the room wait to dry. Room door has a stopper attached, useful for me when I go to 2nd room. Have a kitchen sink but no stove or microwave, Have kettle to boil water. Walk to famous market is nearby, 3 mins walk away. Food options is a bit limited as some eateries not open, maybe it's non-peak tourist season in Nov/Dec. Bed was hard for hubby but good for me. Bonus was a walk in closet for each room, we love that. :)
