How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

It was very noisy in the morning as throughout much of the day as it is situated right next to an Air Force which was the only negative experience.
Excellent room for the price and close enough to the airport. Staff could not speak English but they accommodated through a translation service which was nice.

Hard to stay asleep with how loud it is from the nearby airport, buses on the road and sometimes loud neighbours.

There isn’t proper signage for the entrance, which is located facing the main street.
I liked that the hotel is located around a residential area and not too far from a police station. Although it is close to the airport, the sounds of planes taking off or landing isn’t too bad. The room was clean and had everything we needed. There’s a nice pizza restaurant about 5 minutes walk away. You can’t miss it. It’s right off a walk path that is well lit at night. There are also convenience stores and cafes within minutes of the hotel. Taxi fare to downtown is about 12K Won. If anything, Ayanggyo subway station is about 10-minutes walk away and a few bus stops nearby. I’d definitely stay at Soho Hotel again.

The beds were a bit too firm for my liking and the bathroom had a cigarette smoke smell, which would escape into the room if you opened the bathroom door to use it.
We were visiting Daegu for my daughter to take an exam at the nearby International School. The school was very close, which was nice. If you are headed to the airport, you couldn't ask for a more convenient location. Be prepared, as you are so close to the airport, you do get airplane noise until they stop running, which I believe was around 11pm. We didn't have any noise after that time.

The staff do not speak any English or any other language other than Korean. But google translate does the job.
Comfortable hotel close to the airport and the Don daegu railway station. Functaional for a short stay.

The room smelled like stale smoke and even infused the clothes we were sleeping in with the smell.
Everything seemed new and renovated.

Despite turning down the little control for the heated floor it still felt hot in there and I had to keep the window open all night but no where near a deal breaker.
Great stay and worked super well for my TDY at Daegu AB since it's right outside the visitor gate. The lodging on base is horrible and this fit my budget well. Plenty of food options around the area.

This feedback doesn’t matter really but I thought it was odd that there was only a little open window at the front desk that you would talk to a receptionist through. So I had to stoop low and crane my neck to have a conversation and make eye contact with the staff. Most hotels have a front desk where someone is standing behind it.
Super close to the airport; close to restaurants, coffee, and the bus line; very friendly and helpful staff; spacious and clean room with a comfortable bed.

The service there is not good, no English speaking staff. And the front dest counter is like a prison window, that needs the customers to swat to talk to the staff from a very narrow slot of opening. This is anti-human design.

customer service was poor in checking and facilitator repair person. got to argument about ac not working because the front desk didn’t power the ac. The room had strong smell and blanket stink. the was hair all over the floor. the bed had was not clean. there was bugs and mosquitoes. the room took along time too cool down. I had to bug the reception to provide 2 keys and was reluctant because there was 3 people.

Hairbrush had hair of previous occupants.
