The owners, Mr.Harvard and Mrs Ann made us feel like at home. Their hospitality and kindness were something you don’t get to experience every day. The place itself is kept neatly and with care. The apartment was perfect for a family of four, with a lot of space to move around, a small kitchen equipped with kitchenware & big fridge. The floor heating kept the entire place very warm during the cold winter nights. As for the location, the accommodation is accessible from the main road. ( and provides parking ) 15 min drive to Pyongchang ski resort, 5 min from the supermarket and just around the corner a big sledding hill.

The bed was very uncomfortable for us and we had a hard time sleeping. My only complaint!

The room was great. Very large with plenty of space for our family of four. There was a kitchen with everything we needed. Howard was amazing. He was always there to help us out with anything we needed and made us feel right at home. Was only about 12 minutes from yongpyeong to ski.

We went there during the Youth Winter Olympics. Wonderful place, the friendly host always available and helpful. Everything was warm and clean. It's located a bit outside the town, but within walking distance, about a kilometer. Much more enjoyable than a hotel, and more economic since you can prepare your own meals. Perfect if you travel with kids and need a bit space.

A bit further from town but Howard goes the extra mile by providing rides to meals and groceries. Additionally, he's a great help in arranging cabs, ensuring they arrive promptly within 10 minutes.

Spacious and comfortable house, very clean too. We enjoyed the picturesque views of snow through the windows. The hosts were excellent, and Howard consistently encourages us to reach out via WhatsApp for assistance. Breakfast was delicious prepared by his wife .

Just the weather maybe as it prevented us to enjoy doing more leisurely outdoor activities like bbquing.

I think the best thing we liked was Howard and Ann, the husband and wife who ran the place, they were warm and welcoming and they prepared hot breakfast every day. The place is lovely, cozy, and warm, especially when it is below freezing outside. It is situated in a quiet part of town, and the reason we stayed here was the opportunity to wake up with snow all around. If you have a vehicle, it's perfect to go to town or the ski slopes or even gangneung, which we learn to like and visit. If we ever come back to Pyeongchang, we'll definitely stay with Howard and Ann again, maybe next time during autumn or spring when the weather is not soooo cold but maybe even in deep winter when the snow is really thick.

Howard was wonderful to deal with, he answered all my questions promptly. He met us at the bus station in Hoenggye and left us back there at the end. He explained how everything worked in the room and took time to show us around the common room. He also drove us to show where a local walking trail began as we were interested in walking, He gave us leaflets for the attractions in the area. Throughout our stay he checked regularly to see if we needed anything and provided us with some vegetables from his garden. An excllent host. The room was large with a separate bathroom, almost separate kitchen with table and two chairs, balcony, good cooking facilities - rice cooker, induction cooktop, toaster, kettle. All in all a wonderful quiet country place to stay esp if you have a car. We were able to walk to town to the Olympic Museum and had a wonderful long walk on the Kalsan mountain trail which ended up at Alpensia Village where we visited all the Olympic sites.

Howard was the perfect host. meticulous and always there to provide advice or assistances when needed. very generous host and provide many valuable information and also as much resources as we need. while the nights can be cold, the heating of the pension is good such that even the toilet is heated, this is a big plus.

This place is a gem and great value for money. Tranquil, clean, cozy and good wifi. Mr Howard and his wife were lovely and caring hosts - made us (family of 4) delicious breakfast everyday, helped us with our laundry and made some great recommendations for food and sightseeing. Whenever we need to head to town, Howard would happily give us a ride. Check-in and out was a breeze. The heated floors kept us comfortable every night and we woke up to a beautiful winter scenery outside the apartment. Big thank you to Howard and his beautiful wife!

The unit that we stayed in was cleaned, well-heated and well-maintained. I was impressed by Howard's and Joanne's hospitality and impeccable service. They went the extra mile to do our luandry for my family and also scraped off the snow and ice on my car windscreen after a night of heavy snowfall. I would definitely come back to this place if i plan to ski at Yong Pyong again.

The owner was great, he greeted us and explained everything. We had a good time staying there without worrying about anything. The place is clean and comfortable. It seems that the owners have spent a lot of time setting up the place with a lot of attention to detail.

We used this place for a one-night stop-over during our busy trip along Korean east coast. Though, it is fit for a longer stay with a lot to do and see around. Great hospitality of the host with excellent English, clean and spacious room and facilities, very comfy, warm and quiet.

The room was spacious with all the facilities. Despite being very cold outside, the owner Howard maintained it well and we never felt cold. The biggest positive of our stay was Howard. he was so kind, he helped us with getting ski rentals, even dropped us at the shop, and also provided us with so many snacks. he made sure we were warm and safe and enjoyed the trip too. he definitely made our stay enjoyable!

This property is just plain great! It has a wonderful country vibe, the owners are AWESOME and so FRIENDLY and helpful. Mr. Howard was amazing with instructions, driving directions, check in (he met us and helped carry our luggage), and telling us about things to do (he even comes with discount coupons!). His wife was so nice bringing us breakfast! The property itself is beautiful (pls buy Mr. Howard's Potatoes) The rooms (really they are one bedroom apartments) are decorated so nice and well equipped! The hotel is so close to central Pyeongchang and the surrounding area/highway. A GREAT, GREAT place to stay! So comfortable, easy to find and pleasant to stay at! And we loved the multiple balconies that come with each room!
