Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesThere was very little I didn’t like. Laundry costs 10,000 won here (it was free at some other places I’d stayed recently), but that’s no big deal. Breakfast was serviceable for Western palates (fried eggs, toast, cereal) but nothing amazing. It’s mot a luxury hotel but for the cost it’s a great deal. I’d definitely stay again.
As others have mentioned, the manager Jay is exceptionally invested in guest experience. He greeted me by name each time he saw me and was always available to help with calling a taxi, giving me directions to the bus, etc. Bruce was also very helpful, such as in showing me how to use the laundry (buttons in Korean only). Both speak English well. They offered as many bottles of water as I needed and breakfast was cheap (5000 won). On arrival my room was upgraded, which was lovely, and I had plenty of space for my 3-night stay. I heard small noises from neighboring rooms but it was overall quite quiet. The bed was comfy. WiFi worked well. It’s quite close to some pretty coastal trails to the west that might not be on tourists’ radar.

SingaporeOnly thing we had to get used to was that the shower and toilet were in the same space which meant that the toilet got wet when showering. They offered slippers which helped!
The hotel manager, Jay was so friendly and welcoming and so were all the other staff. Jay gave us helpful tips on places to visit and made us feel right at home. The room was clean, beds were comfy and service standards are unbeatable- better than 5* hotels we’ve stayed in! It was right at the heart of the city centre and within walking distance to restaurants, the Seogwipo market and Olive Young! We will definitely return and stay here again when we return to Jeju!

CanadaEverything was perfect.
Location of the hotel was very convenient, easy walking distance to restaurants, shopping, and a great street market. From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel like family by the manager, Jay. The unit was the cleanest we have ever stayed in and perfect for our family for four adults. Thank you for taking such good care of us Jay!

AustraliaVery obvious why this hotel receives and deserves such great reviews. The staff are amazing and friendly and efficient, Becky and Bruce and Jay. Jay is outstanding in welcoming you and making sure you have the best holiday possible on Jeju. This hotel is definitely a labour of love for him and he has complete commitment to each guest. He helped to organise fantastic days out for us and checked each day we were happy with our room. The rooms are clean, comfortable and airy. The breakfast is a great way to start the day, such a great price and a really lovely lady assisting you. This hotel is a gem, one of the best we stayed in throughout our Korean trip. Thanks Jay and the team, you made our stay on Jeju memorable and stress free. We would highly recommend this hotel to everyone. Kerrie and Maria

United StatesJay greeted us warmly and was the highlight of our trip! He made sure we were very comfortable and had the best experience, and we definitely did. Our room was spacious, clean, and well-stocked, and the location of the hotel was very central to all the sighs and eats in Seogwipo. We will definitely be returning to this hotel if we are in the area again, just for Jay!

‘Valet’ parking. Very friendly reception. As mentioned in many reviews, the manager Jay is very warm and helpful. He informed us that we can enter Udo island with our rental car since we have a passenger over 65 yo with us. Really appreciate that. We got an upgrade from Deluxe to Premier since it’s our first stay here. Walking distance to the market.

United StatesWe liked the friendly welcome and the large comfortable entrance hall. The welcoming manager was super friendly and helpful. The room was nice and bright with a great temperature control (floor heating and Aircon). The mattress was on the hard, but healthy ;-) side. It had a nice open shower. Breakfast was served in the basement and provided everything we needed. It is in a nice location, adjacent to the food streets, easy walking distance to the market hall, to both waterfalls and the Saeseom (Sod Island) Bridge.

Central location, close to night food market and bus stops for exploring local area Extremely friendly and helpful staff ( especially Jae whom spoke very good English and took time to offer suggestions and advice) Good breakfast provided with plenty of choice Upgraded to deluxe room with queen size bed and single bed. (We had initially booked a twin room). Pleasant room with opening windows, very clean Comfortable bed Washing machines available (cost W10000 per wash)
