Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaCosmopolitan place to stay in great location overlooking the bay, close to buses and ferries, shops and market. Lovely cafe downstairs selling handmade soap and other goodies. Use of kitchen is a bonus when travelling. Well travelled and helpful owners.

United StatesWe liked the location, we liked the friendly staff, we liked the kitchen area available that was well stocked. We liked the downstairs cafe which is part of it, and although we didnt spend time up on the roof, it was a nice space, although not alot of chairs right there. Instructions were super clear, staff was welcoming.

SloveniaThe cafe was closed on Wednesday.
The hotel is located over at very nice cafe, but unfortunately it is closed on Wednesdays. It is close to the ferry terminal to Jeju, a monorail to a beautiful park on a hill with a great view,a local market and some local restaurants. The room was simple but clean. The lady at the reception was very nice and her English was surprisingly good.

AustraliaWife didn’t like the stairs to the room and found the bed too hard. I found the bed fine and had no problem with the stairs.
Great place to stay going to or from the ferry to Jeju. Easy walk to the ferry or to the bus terminal. Staff very friendly and very helpful. Everyone could speak some English, one fluently. Wando is a pretty laid back, slow paced and relaxing place.

South KoreaWe arrived before the check-in time and were told we could wait in the cafe. This was very convenient and we had some drinks. A few moments later when we checked in (at the café bar because that's how it works), we were told that we could have discounted prices on the cafe's food and drinks and had also the privilege to enjoy some free drinks. We only stayed overnight in wandonesia to catch our ferry early in the morning so we never used our coupons since we already drank (with no discount). It's not so important but it was a bit weird.
The room was so clean and so spacious. We had 2 windows and could enjoy the view on Judo island and see the tide coming in the port.

PolandNotice that beds are extremly hard. Which may be a problem for people with spine issues.
Hotel has a cafe on the ground floor. Manager was very nice which is exceptional as we had impression that people in town are not really tourist friendly. Room was clean and we got free drink to a breakfast.

LithuaniaUnfortunately for me the big downside was the bed, it was very inconvenient and hard, i could barely get any sleep after a long day travelling and before taking another long journey through the mainland. The bed quality spoiled my stay big time, i have not rested ☹️
The staff was very friendly and helpful and unlike many other hotels, spoke good english. Location is good and rooms have lovely view to the harbour.

United StatesNot that I did not like something but if you are not familiar with Korean style beds be prepared. They are not the same as American beds because they are much firmer and the A/C was not ready to turn on yet. Not a negative but if you aren’t from a country that does not use A/C often then you could be surprised by that. No negatives though. Had zero issues after we used the fan supplied and relaxed for a few minutes.
Very nice staff that spoke English very well. I was fully prepared to use my translator app but did not need to at all. Gave a free drink coupon upon check-in that we didn’t get to used because we left really early in the morning the next day and didn’t use it the day of. Very nice stay just have an open mind if you are traveling abroad in Korea and you won’t have any issues.

United KingdomReally had no issues , just wished the café downstairs offered a larger selection of welcome drinks, the americano was a bit tasteless but for a free welcome drink can't complain. The guest house was really perfect. This is by far the best location to stay at on the island in my opinion.
I have to say this Guesthouse was extremely pleasant, it was the perfect accommodation after spending a day traveling around the island. Check in was at the café downstairs (this confused me a bit as I went up the stairs first). The owners were very friendly and offered a free welcome drink. The room was excellent, it had everything I needed and a WALL FAN, out of all the other hotels I've been to, not a single one had a wall fan, this was perfect as I trust these more than air conditioners. The view I had was off the sea, the sunset wasn't that great when I stayed but I guess the accommodation can't control the weather. The bed was comfortable and I really had no worries. The café downstairs was quite wonderful, had my breakfast there and although it took a bit long for the food to arrive, the honey bread and brown sugar latte was absolutely delicious.

South KoreaOur rooms were on the 4th floor, no elevator. The beds were quite hard and the pillows were inadequate. Everything was simple but for the price, we weren’t expecting luxury.
Perfect location just near the ferry terminal. Our rooms had a sea view. The staff communicated via sms in English and were quite accommodating, especially since we were arriving after 10pm from Seoul. The cafe on the ground floor served coffee, tea and a few pastries a la carte. There was a drink coupon included in the price of the room but it only got you the most small, basic drinks. We paid extra for caffe lattes. An egg sandwich would have been appreciated.

South KoreaBe aware that there is no elevator, and the bed wasn't as comfortable as it could have been (it was kind of hard and pieces kept sliding). There was an issue with the toilet during our stay, but we were able to resolve it quickly.
They gave us a welcome drink coupon, which no other place has given us, and the staff and owner were very friendly, and helpful. The cafe on the first floor is excellent, and the shared kitchen was good for long stay. We were very happy to find this place and to extend our stay with them. They have a creative, artistic sense, and a nice rooftop to go look at the city.

FranceThe bed was a tiny bit uncomfortable especially with what I supposed was a heating blanket under the sheets but the plastic box on it was bothering for sleeping.
The hostel is located just in front of judo island so the view was great, the room was nice and everything clean and functional. The cute cafe attach to the hostel was awesome and the host offered us a free drink each so it was really nice ! We felt really welcomed.

United StatesThe bath towels were very small, more like hand towels. I'm a light sleeper and need full darkness at night, the curtain didn't fully cover the window, light came in.
There is a kitchenette where you can prepare a meal and eat at a normal table. The staff were very friendly and the breakfast was nice.
