How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Only one thing was uncomfortable- there is no sign with name. We arrived late, in dark. The geo location is right, but unclear what house. We cope with it calling the host. But in general it doesn't influence on our opinion.
Comfortable private guesthouse in the quit area. Our room was clean. Beddings, toiletries, wi fi. Everything worked properly. Friendly and hospitable owner support all our needs . There are a lot of little shops around, local food points. About 10 minutes walking along Mekong to the night market . It starts after 17.00.

Maybe the breakfast could have been larger, however I was still acclimatising so this didn't matter at all.
Within walking distance of the airport and town (though I'm a keen walker, so if you're not acclimatised, take your time!), very friendly and welcoming service from Jenny and family. They went out of their way to help me book taxis and change my Thai baht to Kip (at the current exchange rate - so this is better than every other option) and were most welcoming. Be patient as they speak multiple languages, of which English is one of the weaker ones, but with Google translate etc you will always make it work.

Close to the airport which we were looking for because we had a flight to catch. Very kind and chatty host, Jenny even dropped us at the airport at 6am! Big, comfortable bed and clean room. Towels and shower essentials included. Everything was perfect!

Very comfortable bed and location is close to the airport making it perfect one night stop over for flight connection. Great variety of food at the food market which is 7 minute walk

Jenny is super helpful and friendly. The apartment is big, comfy and clean. The balcony was amazing. There is an airport drop off service. We really loved our stay.

The bathroom was a bit smelly when water was used in other rooms. Overall, it wasn't properly cleaned in some corners but still clean in general. A second helmet should be provided for the scooter. The police stopped us when we had just one helmet and charged us 100k.
The suite is super spacious and the terrace is great to relax or even yoga. Also having a room to chill that is not the bedroom is a great plus. They provide electric scooters that are amazing to get around for a fair price (7$/day).

Meaby a bit far downtown, but I found a good place to eat very close like 3 min in foot.
The owner is very nice, she helped me with some questions and she drove me to the airport early in the morning. Very clean place, the Shower is nice, I found a little noodles place near the hotel.

Nothing, the centre is a little far (30 min walk) we didn’t mind cause we like walking anyway but some may find this difficult.
This property is such good value for money! Perfect for a quick stop over or if you need to catch a flight. Clean, friendly and comfortable.

The girl looking after the guests was not being treated friendly or correctly. She was severely underpaid. Actually she was being bullied, while Jenny doesn't speak Lao, with us as witnesses. Very annoying! This made us feel uncomfortable.
The breakfast was excellent. The room was spacious and very clean. Directly from the room entry into the garden was secured. Conversation with Jenny was relatively easy, although she didn't speak English (just Mandarin). The girl looking after the guests (preparing breakfast) and doing the cleaning was talkative to my Thai girlfriend.

If you don’t have scooter, you will be walking a lot to the city's Center, night market and everything else worth seeing...
The terrace was nice, Jenny is a friendly and helpful host. After we arrived we didn't get the room we had booked because the key was lost by a customer. They repaired it on the next day and we got our room. Breakfast was very limited but it is common for Laos.

It is a 2 km walk to the city centre. You can easily take a tuk tuk or just wander along the Mekong. For us it was perfect because it was quiet and still an easy stroll to the night market and the numerous restaurants along the waterfront.
A great place to unwind in Vientiane. My partner I got a fantastic room with a view of the Mekong and Thailand on the other side. The rooms are spacious and the beds comfortable. And airport transport service.

Just an FYI - if you are looking for the place on Google maps, it is listed as Jenny Airport lounge.
It was quite close to the airport and also the riverfront restaurants and bars. Very comfortable and host Jenny was very nice

This is a great place for staying close to the airport but also not too far away from the city center. Jenny is a very friendly and helpful host. The room was perfectly clean, the bed comfy, the WiFi fast enough. It's a quiet neighborhood, and I can only recommend staying here.

We stayed in the ground floor room, and it felt like a brand-new space, as if we were the very first guests to ever use it. It was modern, clean, nice bathroom and a stunning view of the Mekong River (Thailand). The room had a door opening to the garden, with tables and lights in the evenings. We immediately felt at home here. Jenny and the attentive staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. They even printed our documents (e-visa) for us and provided a ride to the airport. Additionally, they offered scooter rental. Although perfect for an overnight stay near the airport, we would have wanted to stay longer. The warm ambiance and amenities made it an unforgettable stay.

Breakfast option is very limited and only instant coffee with milk.
Quiet place at the outskirts of town. Very big comfortable room with big bathroom, everything clean and well kept. Balcony attached, at the front of the house, so the side of the street. But it's quiet and the sun doesn't shine there so much, so very nice to sit there during the day. Close to the river: beautiful sights and a very relaxing walk back from town at night.
