The location was close to the airport. The pool & gym facilities were nice. Breakfast was ok too.

There was no variety in the breakfast, it was the same everyday with cold bacon. The staff were helpful just needed more attention to detail, for example difficulties in obtaining pool towels and limited staff maning the bars

air condition in the corridor to go to the room was off. The water in the shower was on and off at night.. when you remove the key from the room all electricity stop including the air condition therefore, when you go back to the room, it is very hot :(

The shower needs attention as the water was spraying onto the bathroom floor, shower curtain didnt help.Noticed food from rooms left on hallway tables for at least 24 hrs, not pleasant!

I mainly booked the hotel to lounge by the pool the day before I flew out but they were preparing for a party and removed all the reclining pool chairs. It felt a little unwelcoming. I asked the staff where I could find a tuk tuk to the Buddha Park and they didn’t seem super knowledgeable. I ended up going to Talat Sai bus station and getting a tuk tuk from there (there and back) for 250,000 but I had to look that up on the internet, which I think the people at the desk should have been knowledgeable about..

The staff was very helpful. The room was beautiful, and although some of the furnishings were a little dated they were really well maintained. The room was clean, toiletries were provided. The staff told me water was complimentary and to just ask for more if I needed it. They were very sweet.

Dining room was booked out for a private function for one breakfast and one dinner so we had to sit outside for those meals and order from the menu. Still fine, but the private function did not seem to use anywhere near the number of tables booked for them, and we would have preferred to have been able to sit inside and avail ourselves of the buffet.

Location does.not correspond to its real location. Otherwise would have chosen a different hotel. Not a bad location but not correct one simply.

My room wasn’t ready and extremely hot when arriving. Took a while to refresh with the AC. Booked it trough booking.com and the room wasn’t registered when I arrived. They gave me a pretty bad room just beside the maid storage room which woke me up early at 7am. I needed to do laundry and was told I could early in the morning. It wasn’t the case and was denied laundry help when I asked in the morning.

Room upgrade on arrival. Everything perfectly clean, staff very helpful and professional, great breakfast, fantastic pool. Good location, short walk into town and only one block from the promenade and all of the bars and restaurants. Next time I'm in Vientiane will definitely be staying at the Laotel, won't even bother looking at alternatives. Fantastic hotel.
