A part of the road to this guesthouse is very dark in the evening. I think there is generally not much light in this town, but take care.

Great for a short stay! Close to the river and town with a handful of good restaurants. 10 minute walk to the bus stop or a 10,000 Kip Tuk Tuk. Room and bathroom were clean, bed was comfy. AC worked well. Basic accommodation for good value.

The rooms were clean, spacious and very comfortable with aircon. The owner Sai is very welcoming and helpful in arranging tours and transfers. We very much enjoyed the free bananas and coffee while relaxing on the hammocks. the WiFi is excellent. The guesthouse is in a quiet area, however there are many good restaurants nearby.

The rooms were spotlessly clean, very comfortable with effective aircon, good fans, modern bathroom and hot water. our hosts were very welcoming. We very much enjoyed the free bananas and coffee! the WiFi is excellent. There was a peaceful seating area outside the rooms with a couple of hammocks. it's close to everything - a 12 minute walk to the bridge, with good quality restaurants on the way, there are views of the river from the restaurants opposite. we very much enjoyed our 2 nights at Meexok guesthouse.

I was a little bit disappointed learning that the bus tickets they sell carry at least 50% surcharge comparing when you buy it at the bus station around the corner. Not very transparent. Rest was OK

Sai and the other female staff were the amazing host at Meexok Guesthouse, made sure our stay in Nong Khiaw was perfect. They gave us all the info we needed and even helped us arrange a tour. The guesthouse itself was super clean (impressive for Nong Khiaw!), and surrounded by great places to eat. Heads up - there were occasional power cuts and water outages in town, but that wasn't the guesthouse's fault. Sai and the team did their best to manage it, and overall, it was a minor inconvenience. They also have free Bananas and tea/coffees all day long.

The rooms and bathrooms are a bit basic but still all work well and good value for what you're paying.

We stayed here twice during our time in Nong Khiaw, when we first arrived and then again after doing a 2 night hike. The staff let us leave our luggage there during our hike and it felt secure. The man at the reception was always there and smiling and happy to help. The rooms were spacious and clean. Good location, walking distance from restaurants and walking trails.

The laundry service was poor. They didn’t use softener and they gave me back my clothes literally as a ball. No need to iron it, because fold it at least. On top, their neighbours’ rooster was crowing literally all night long. It’s not the hotels fault, but…

The staff were friendly and helpful. Good room. The chairs and tables in front of the rooms were great to chill and relax.
