How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Perfect place to stay. The bed is very comfy and the room has all the facilities you need. Location is great, it is easy to walk to all the main sites. John is extremely helpful and will organise anything you need!

Everything! The rooms are spacious, clean, and comfortable. The hotel is perfectly situated close to shops, cafes, and activities. John was always willing to help with a smile and expertise. I never felt like just a number, I felt like I was part of something special. John offered perfectly tailored service. The staff were a pleasure. I'd highly recommend. It's convenient as the hotel doubles as a travel ag ncy so you'll al ays have help navigating the city.

No complaints whatsoever.
The location is convenient to the town center. The staff and facilities are sublime. Breakfast was delicious. John runs the hotel like a well oiled machine and is always ready to help and make sure you're comfortable during your stay. I've traveled for a while and stayed at many places in SE Asia, but this was my favorite accommodation. I loved it so much that I extended my stay. I will definitely recommend and stay here again. Thanks so much for your help, John! You elevated my stay in Luang Prabang!

The bed was awesomely comfortable and I had great sleeps every night! The complimentary breakfast was a delicious and healthy way to start the day with fresh seasonal fruit included!

Very good looking and charming hotel, beautifull and clean room with a nice terrace. Coffee, tea and water are complemantery and refreshed with housekeeping. Offers scooter rentals and other activities at a decent price. Breakfast was also tasty with fresh fruits. Overall really enjoyed our stay here!!

We absolutely loved our stay here. The room was super clean, spacious and just all round lovely. The free breakfast was delicious and cooked to order and the hotel is in a great location just a short walk from the old quarter. However, probably the best thing about this hotel is the staff - John (Ayong) was amazing, he always had a smile on his face, was so chatty and couldn’t do enough to help us and organise trips / transport. He definitely made our stay.

The host was super helpful, giving us loads of useful information about the town and also helped us easily book things to do. Really friendly and great English. The room was lovely and had everything we needed, with a decent shower and comfy beds . Breakfast was tasty with a good selection of options and good coffee. Location is perfect for getting around town and also for getting out of town to the nearby attractions.

The room we stayed in was perfect - comfy beds, good AC, clean room, complete with every amenity you would ever need, as well as a balcony. The value for money is insane. Also, the young Vietnamese hotel receptionist went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and helped us with anything we needed. Could not recommend this hotel more.

Excellent hotel. The host Jon looked after us incredibly well. Even helped us with a last minute Visa emergency. Walking distance to the centre of town. Room is comfy and clean.

There is nothing we didn’t like about this stay.
Rooms are very modern and clean. The property is in a good location, close to restaurants and shops. The owner was very helpful, gave us a map with highlighted different locations around the city. There is also an option to rent a brand new motorbike, which was very comfortable way to move around the city.

Not the cheapest room rate but you got a good choice of complimentary breakfast and I was Very happy with the hotel and room,very clean and modern.the staff were Great.provided pick up and drop off from the station at a good price.and provided return train ticket with zero hassle. a great all round service. breakfast/tours/taxi service/train tickets etc and good central location in the town.i would highly recommend.

Manager is really helpful and goes out of his way to ensure you're aware of what's around to do and how to get there. Seems proud of Luang Prabang. Room was great, spacious, nice balcony area and clean throughout. Location is good and I left feeling well rested.

The hotel was amazing, staff were incredibly helpful, and the location was very central - just a short walk away from many things to see/do. I would definitely stay here again when I'm in Luang Prabang.

Super nice room, comfy bed nice shower. The service was superb, the receptionist was super friendly, helped us book our train. Lovely little breakfast too.
