Just got quite hot as only a fan in the room. Otherwise was great.

Beautiful room with incredible view. The lodge kindly let us check in 4 hours early which was very nice.

Holes in the mosquito net. Reception calculated price using their own exchange rate instead of the current rate. I ended up having to pay a few more hundred kip than what Google said the rate was. The bus ride back to Luang Prabang does not drop you off in the city center, but outside of town near the airport. Be prepared to cough up additional kip for a ride into town. It’s a conspiracy I do not think can be avoided.

Location. River access to swim after a hike. Not far from the bus station and some very decent restaurants.

Not many staff around and they couldn’t organise laundry. Bathroom a little dated. No duvet cover, just a sheet under the duvet, meaning you had to look at the stained duvet.

Amazing location right on the river. Great place to sit and just watch the view. Room is comfortable and not just bare walls which is always nice.

There was NO hairdryer and the responsible person offered me to purchase it from the shop… NO shampoo, just a tiny soap . VERY Poor quality breakfast !!!

The garbage at the entrance and empty plastic bottles thrown into the river giving an ugly site of the boat landing. The owners should be more environment conscious?

My friend and I both stayed in single rooms. Her room was impeccably clean and looked like it has a light touch refurbishment recently. Mine was slightly dirty and I needed to clean the sheets. I do not think that this is necessarily a reflection of all rooms though and after getting fresh sheets it was perfect.

The view is absolutely incredible and the size of the rooms at very generous for the price.

The room was nice and cozy, only the bathroom was a bit old. But I didn't mind cause the view from the terrace was outstanding, the silence was absolute at night and I've rested and chilled beautifully. Also, the breakfast is not included, but it really is a lovely one, highly recommended (:

We had to pay extra to stay a few more hours which is understandable, but I thought it would be free dunce the hotel is not the cheapest (budget travellers).

I would highly recommend the Nam ou River Lodge if you stay in Nong Khiaw. The hotel is charming with a view on the river. The room is clean and comfortable. The owners are keen to help with sympathy. We also booked a 3 days trek with the partner agency and absolutely loved the experience. They are very professional.

Not very dirty but also not very clean. The staff is not there all the time, so if you need help for something you need to wait or be lucky.

It’s a bit of a walk from the main destinations in town. Not too bad, really, but it gets pretty dark at night to walk back.

Nice river view of the reay nice terrace, really simple room, really quite place directly on the river. So, you are able to swim in the river after a long hiking day.

Bed and pillow not that comfortable. Distance to the centre of town about 15 minutes walk so would be great if the accommodation offered bicycles for rent.

Lovely guesthouse with all you could need for one or two nights. We used this place to then take the overnight trek and the owner arranged everything for us. Would recommend staying here if you want to do the same thing.
