Great for a relaxing stay at the quiet end of town. Breakfast was plentiful and nice to have on the terrace. I also loved sitting on the upper terrace watching the world go by. It’s at the dead-end of the peninsula and I don’t think many people venture this far up (still only 10 min walk to the main ‘strip’) so I found all the neighboring riverside cafes and restaurants to be quiet and peaceful as well - it’s also a good side to view the morning alms, as people crowd around the night market end. Loved my stay here!

The room was clean comfortable and bright. It felt really cosy and the shower and bed were both 10/10. The host and his family really could not do enough for us and their warmth and hospitality made our stay even better. He also helped us book tours and transport straight from the hotel to save us time and hassle. Highly recommend a stay at ouis namkhan place house!

The room was very clean but there were quite a lot of dead ants in the bathroom, I easily washed them away with the shower myself but felt like they had been there a while and had been missed. The window in my bedroom opened up onto a wall, so if you are someone who loves sunlight to wake them up it may not be for you. Though there is an excellent and relaxing outside terrace to read a book or relax on, with wonderfully comfortable lounging chairs, perhaps would be made even better by some covers or thin cushions.

The location was excellent. The manager was very friendly and helpful. A delicious breakfast, and convenient laundry service. There is a nice shared terrace with comfy deck chairs to sit on too. The value for money was amazing, I can't believe that I got such a wonderful room and location for this price. I spent a lot of time looking for a hotel in Luang Prabang and I am glad that I chose this one - I would definitely stay there again.

Our recent stay at Ouis Namkhan Place Guesthouse was absolutely perfect. The hotel's location is superb, making it convenient to explore the area. The owner went above and beyond, always ready to assist with a smile, whether it was helping us with scooter rentals or booking our bus for the next leg of our journey. The breakfast provided was delicious and very complete, setting a great tone for each day. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and I highly recommend this guesthouse for anyone visiting the area.

The only thing I could say is the AC is weak and with the crazy high temperatures this time of year that’s tough. But I think that’s normal in Asia, we’ve rarely had strong AC. It’s bearable (and there is a fan too) so I wouldn’t let this stop you from staying here.

Perfect stay in Luang Prabang, the host goes beyond expectations to satisfy you and make your stay enjoyable. We ended spending 6 nights to enjoy more of the atmosphere, the hotel being ideally situated. Breakfast noodles are simple but very good, with a big fruit plate, very nice. You also have a choice of eggs and pancakes.

Big and clean room, AC working perfectly, quiet neighbourhood and located in the city center. The river is just in front of the hotel, they have laundry service and you can rent a motorbike also. The breakfast is good, try the banana pancakes ! The manager of the hotel is also really nice, he gave us good information about the things to see and do in Luang Prabang and around. I highly recommend !

The neighbouring restaurant was very noisy, with bad karaoke. It went on until closing time, which is between 10-11pm. This is not the fault of the lovely hotel, and if you are out and about in the evening it’s not going to affect you.

Perfect location in the old quarter, right by the river. The room was well organised, the bed was comfortable with great air con! I liked the balcony with seating overlooking the river.

Cups in the room were dirty. There is no shower divider, water will be all over the bathroom as the shower sits nearly right over the toilet. Windows open directly onto a wall next door, only a foot or so to away. So it was really like having a room without windows. The door lock seemed very insecure. The TV is propped up on the wall to the side of the bed, and it would be very difficult to watch it comfortably. The room was not as advertised, which was a double bed. It was really two beds pushed together with extremely small space on one side pushed very close to the wall.
