Only downside is rooms are a little small and the bed stiff.

Very charming hotel with excellent service, very decent price and in a great location. Staff is kind, takes the time to explain, speak good English (not common in Laos) and can help with most logistical issues you may have (tours, tickets, shopping). Airport transfer is good (my pick up was late but the request was placed last minute to be honest). Cars are comfortable and drivers helpful. Price is also decent. The spa is not what you would find in a large 5 stars resort but it has lots of charm, calm and the massage is truly first class at an excellent price as well. There is an excellent souvenirs and wood handicraft shop in the hotel. The restaurant is of great quality albeit service can be a little slow if one is in a rush. But for the overall experience, charm, service and location, the price is very good and the hotel probably one of the best in Vientiane.

Stayed four nights here and to be honest I could find no fault whatsoever about the hotel. I have travelled extensively over the years and have stayed at some of the best hotels in the world. This ranks up there with the best of them. All the staff speak perfect English and are extremely helpful and polite. The buffet breakfast was outstanding with so much choice and more importantly good quality. Breakfast was served between 6am and 10.30am which is extremely helpful if you are looking to catch an early flight or want to have a late breakfast. The room had everything you might need and was extremely clean. There is a beautifully furnished bar/lounge on the 4th floor. The hotel provided a car and driver for a day tour and my transfer to the airport. Ok it is not cheap by Laos standards but you get what you pay for and it does not get much better than this.

There is nothing that I didn't like.

This was my second stay on my recent SE Asia trip. The hotel is ideally situated and is near the night market. The hotel restaurant serves generous portions and is open most of the day. The hotel location is about 15 -20 minute drive to the airport. The staff throughout the hotel are polite and helpful.

Mosquitoes. Lots and lots of mosquitoes. Staff did spray the room, but it was not enough.

Excellent breakfast. Great access to the city centre and other restaurants. The 4th floor bar is a nice on to sit out for a drink.

Bed was very larg (king size) but fairly hard, as many Asian mattresses are. Just would have liked it to be softer.

Breakfast was fantastic with lots of choices on the buffet as well as made to order. The staff was incredibly polite and helpful and attentive. I ordered the butchers block steak during my last night’s dinner and it was absolutely delicious.

Suite didn't feel like one. It was nicely designed, but seemed just a moderate-sized room with a sofa in it. Staff was efficient, but nobody went the extra mile. There were offers of a bigger suite and late check-out, but only at significant extra cost -- although there clearly was availability. 2nd floor lounge was poorly air-conditioned.

The restaurant- although very nice- didn't really serve any Lao food for dinner - it tried to hard to serve fancy French food - but when people come to Vientiane they would like to have some nice quality local food! Their breakfast was yummy with many made to order options to accompany their buffet. Their noodles were great! Our A/C unit was noisy sometimes - sometimes quiet and sometimes noisy. We used a sound machine to neutralise it so that it didn't affect us.
