Not a massive issue, as they seemed to come in one by one. But mosquitoes would come in through the extractor fan in the bathroom or perhaps a hole near that area. Might be possible to put a mesh up to prevent these minor inconveniences.

The location of this place is excellent, just a 5 - 10 min walk to the night market. So you can easily get some good street food or haggle with the vendors. The room itself was very comfortable and clean with good AC. Handy that there was a fridge and there was a TV with a few English channels too.

Our stay at Suan Keo Place Homestay in Luang Prabang was thoroughly enjoyable. The staff was accommodating and pleasant, ensuring our needs were met with a friendly demeanor. The air conditioning provided adequate comfort, allowing us to relax after a day of exploring. What stood out was the reasonable pricing, offering great value for the amenities provided. The cleaning lady's exceptional service maintained the accommodations impeccably. Having a safe box available added to the sense of security, although it was reassuringly unnecessary. Suan Keo Place Homestay provided a reliable and comfortable stay in the picturesque city of Luang Prabang, making it a recommendable choice for travelers seeking a welcoming environment at a fair price.

The hotel is located on a quiet street yet very close to many of those places the tourists want to visit. It is a nice building where you can start your morning with an al fresco breakfast. The room had all basic amenities you need to feel yourself comfortable. I would also like to express my special thanks to the host who helped me a lot with my luggage after checking out of the hotel.

The local power grid can be unreliable & there is markup for services contracted through guesthouse but you can consider it a convenience fee.

Nam is one of the very friendliest hotel managers I’ve met while traveling. Very clean place, good breakfast, fast WiFi and their hospitality reflects in the booking rating. Very convenient place to visit other attractions. I just walked to many attractions around. Just 10m away from the river. Several places around there that you can enjoy a beer looking at the sunset. Nam helped to book Kuang si waterfall tour and Pak ou caves for very reasonable prices. I stayed 3 nights there, wish I had more time. Good breakfast too

We were greeted with fruit and juice upon check-in. Friendly staff, delicious breakfast. Reasonable room price, location near the night market. A good idea if choosing this place for a long stay in Luangprabang

The room was filled with mosquitoes every day, presumably because of cleaning staff leaving the door open while they clean. Each night we killed more than 10 mosquitos and had to apply repellent before bed. There was clearly a problem with the plumbing during our stay, not sure if this has since been fixed but if it had we would have been much happier. The toilet would often not flush properly, instead just filling the bowl with water and draining very slowly. Usually I would attribute this to a blockage from toilet paper or something else, but the problem was intermittent - sometimes it would flush with no problem but then later it would go back to being blocked. The worst issue though was the smell in the room, which was absolutely unbearable. It stank of raw sewage every night we stayed, we think coming from the toilet as it would make bubbling/gurgling noises and then the rancid smell would fill the room very quickly. It would usually be gone during the day (maybe because the plumbing was not being used as often) but then every night around 10pm and every morning around 9am it would return. We reported this after the first night and asked for a different room, they said they would look at the room and if they couldn't fix the problem we could move. When we came back we asked if our room had been fixed, they asked us to wait in reception and then left us there for over an hour, after which time we just gave up. As the smell would disappear during the day, we were hopeful that the problem had been fixed, but that night it came back and we had to put tiger balm on our faces to cover the stench. We are used to sometimes having a drain smell in the bathrooms here, but this was so much worse and made us feel sick when we were trying to sleep. On our third and final night there not even the tiger balm could cover the smell.

The room was spacious, comfortable bed, toiletries and a fridge provided. The staff were very friendly and helpful, without the issues we mention we would have given a much higher rating.

The bathroom floor was very dirty, with mold and dirt in the joints. The bathroom sink was not working well. There were quite a lot of hairs in the bed and pillows when we arrived.

The kind personal, the breakfasts, the localization. The nice balcony, the calm of the street. A discount was proposed since we weren't too happy with our stay.
