How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.

curtains in the room , really irritated - this standart of the hotel should have more convenient solution . However windows in the room are amazing

Lovely hotel and the people that work there are extremely friendly and helpful. Excellent management. The rooftop pool is always a plus. Set in a quiet area yet close to the hustle and bustle of Beirut. Would stay there again.

All staff is amazing and very helpful, the hotel is very modern and quite. Breakfast is rich and delicious. The front desk from Ali , Rita ,Rima, Zeina to all the staff in the hotel including the manager Khalil Zeinah are super .

Small maintenance issues in terms of furniture and different objects in the room but nothing drastic.
The place is customer oriented and has a wonderful and young team. The premium room is quite more spacious than i thought, which is a big plus. Daily cleaning and water provided for free, detail which is quite rare nowadays. Keep up the good work you are doing!

Location is slightly out of the city. Good if you want to explore outside of Beirut but you'll have a lot of traffic getting into beirut. Breakfast is very limited and can be improved.
Very supportive staff, always helpful whenever they can. They helped us with all issues we faced when checking in and out and always offered us bottled water when we asked.

Everything was wonderful. This is my second stay at Bossa Nova Beirut and it couldn’t have been better. From the tasteful design of the building and the rooms with their catchy themes, to the location, the breakfast, which included a hearty traditional Lebanese breakfast that set us up for the day, to the wonderful staff who was always warm, friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help and support. The Bossa Nova truly defined customer service excellence. A special shoutout to Rita, who always greeted us with a big, warm, smile and whose cheerful and lively personality always managed to put a smile on our faces 😊.

Everything was great!
Amazing place with a great modern design! Bossa Nova is new and clean in a central location in Beirut. Rima, Rita and the rest of the staff went above and beyond to exceed all of our expectations. Rooftop pool is amazing any time of the day and breakfast is great. Rima was exceptional in reserving the rooftop for our family reunion providing us with the perfect setup of food and drinks. Above all, rooms are very clean and beds are very comfortable (even the sofa bed). If you want a comfortable base located in one of the main arteries of Beirut, look no further than Bossa Nova in Sin EL Fil.

the bathroom wasn't very clean and we could smell cigarettes in the room. but as I said overall it was good I would stay there if I was visiting on a short trip.
the location was very convenient and the breakfast was really nice ! the room was big and it was a very nicely done hotel architecturally it was beautiful to look at and very interesting indeed we liked that its close to the city

Great , and my uncle joined me at the breakfast as greetings from the welcoming staff. If you want stress free place to "stay in " when you visit Beirut ,surely Bossa Nova has to be in the list of these places .

Modern hotel with interesting concept, clean and family friendly. Exceptionally friendly and helpful staff, all -from receptionists to restaurant waiters, F&B manager and GM Khalil. Thank you, guys, for taking care of all our family members, we felt like being at home.
