Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesThere is no air conditioning besides the two bed room. In Summer when it is hot and muggy, it makes it difficult to sit in the living room or spend time in kitchen. We stayed 4 nights and there was no cleaning in between. Now-a-days, even regular hotels are servicing rooms daily. Here had to call for a replacement trash’s bag, etc.
Spacious, clean, airy. Upstairs apartment has wrapped around balcony on two sides that sheltered from scorching Sun. Upstairs apartment also has breeze all day. Location of apartment is such that (N-S) balcony always protects from direct Sun. Kitchen has almost all essentials to prepare a meal. Furniture in the apartment is of good taste. Apartment has two bathrooms, which is great, and yes the water pressure is excellent. Grocery store (Massy) is close though not walkable in hot weather without getting all sweaty.

Saint LuciaThe walls are a bit thin and I could hear everything happening in the room next door. They were quite noisy. Also, the menu in the room from Eats4U is outdated and when I tried to order from them I was sent a different menu. Just a heads up so you can update them, if possible. Regardless, I enjoyed my stay and will surely return!
I loved my room, it was at the back of the property and was much more peaceful. I didn't mind not having a view. 10/10, I will recommend it to friends and family.

United StatesThe outside gate would sometimes get locked. We suggest providing an extra key to renters. The A/C in the king-bed bedroom was not working but was Glenda was responsive and got it fixed the day before we left from our 3-day stay, and there was an issue with the hot water in the second bathroom shower (but we were told this in advance and it did not hamper our stay).
The location was pretty good but the road is a dirt road. We stayed in the 2 bedroom, second story apartment. The location is within easy 10 minute walk to downtown where the restaurant we enjoyed was Voila By Captain Kent (but bring EC currency even though they say they take credit cards, this is not always true; prices on menu are in EC) The A/C wasn't working in the king-bed bedroom but Glenda was exceptional with responding and organizing a tech to come and replace the unit (maybe too many people leave it running or below 23). The kitchen was pretty well equipped, the beds and furniture throughout were comfortable. WiFi worked well.

MongoliaNeat, lovely place with a comfy bed, aircon, shower and toiletries, even beach towels were provided. Flat had a kitchenette and a cozy terrace to sit outside. In the yard there was a mini pond with a few turtles. Flat is 10min walk from Massy supermarket and bus station/pier. Owners were amazingly helpful and friendly, helped us to get a good value taxi transfers to places we wanted to go and to the airport. Would love to stay there again.

United KingdomLocation was good as was a 10 minute easy walk into town. However at night, the surrounding area is not safe for tourists. On our first night here we were mugged at knife point by two men on a moped at around 7pm (approx 7 minute walk away from the property). We had both our phones stolen and a handbag. If you need to travel around after dark I would highly recommend booking taxis or using a hire car.
The apartment was clean, functional and comfortable. Kitchen area had gas hob, microwave and kettle, with plenty of pans, plates and cups etc. Towels for the beach were provided and great private terrace with table, chairs and sun lounger. The property was secure and had a safe. Very large bed and aircon made for a comfortable nights sleep. Apartment staff and owner very helpful, understanding and friendly. If you're looking for a quick lunch nearby, highly recommend the chicken roti at Fedo's which is a couple mins walk away - cheap and delicious! Would stay here again, great value for money.

Trinidad and TobagoThe minifridge was very loud whenever the compressor kicked in at night.
The room was spacious and clean and there were a lot of options for watching TV. There was also a safe for storing valuables as well as the option to program a keycode for the room. The place is within walking distance of a supermarket and the staff were welcoming and friendly.

United StatesThe way the TV is set up could use some improvement, but it is not a major issue.
The location is excellent and safe. The neighborhood is very peaceful and the local people are helpful and friendly. You can walk to the beach and the supermarket as well as to all taxis. The main tourist attractions are also nearby if you take a taxi. Glenda and Valery the owner are eager to make your stay pleasant. The suites are very clean and you have everything you need to cook in the kitchen.

United KingdomOur room lacked mosquito nets on some of the windows, however others had them fitted. Our kitchenette was quite small compared to others. Fridge quite noisy. Some bed-side lamps with a softer light would be good. Overall minor points so please don't be deterred!
Clean, self-contained apartment with large very comfortable double bed, good shower and bathroom, a handy kitchenette which we prepared food in regularly as well as a secluded covered patio area. Effective aircon (a lifesaver)! Amazing support from Glenda and Valery during our stay, everyone so friendly and helpful. 5 mins from local supermarket, 10 mins to the town beach and walkable to others if you fancy more of a hike along the coast! Diamond falls and botanical gardens are beautiful and 20 mins walk.

United KingdomYou need a car especially when it rains unless you enjoy muddy puddles, but I believe that’s part of the charm. Also be prepared to hear the little tree frog singing all night , it did not bother us, and we did find it cute but thought it was worth mentioning, not specific to the accommodation, it is all around Soufriere. Mosquitoes were lethal in the island so pack your mosquito repellent.
Great apartment that did match our expectations. We were living amongst locals, and we were 10 minutes’ drive to all the attractions we wanted to visit including Tet paul trail , sulfur springs, chocolat tour, sugar beach and anse chastanet. The near by beach is good also with loungers to rent at decent price and good bar. You have everything you need AC, beach towels, bathroom products. We stayed in 3 accommodations in the island and Frenz was the only place with a coffee machine which was a highlight for us. You just need to buy your coffee from the Massy nearby. Make sure you also try Fedo’s roti and don’t miss the Saturday market where you can enjoy local breakfast. Valery was responsive. Overall , happy with our stay.

United StatesI would’ve liked a bit heavier weight blanket more for comfort than warmth, when I requested I was given a heavier weight sheet, which helped. There is no view though one is advertised on all rooms. The room I was in felt like a bit of a basement, as all of the windows have privacy film on them and bars on the windows. I closed on the windows because I had a lot of mosquitoes in them the moment I walked in. I expected this to be more of a hostel vibe based off of the reviews, with a lobby where I could talk to other guests, but it’s definitely more of a homestay/hotel where people keep to themselves and there’s no communal area. It was perfect for just going to the room at night and adventuring during the day and the best deal I found on booking . Com!
Clean, AC, ample towels, a safe, a closet, close to town and pretty much everything else to do in Soufriere, and honestly if you’re not planning on being in the room at all, it is perfect. The shower water is hot, there’s an in room kitchenette, and the host is extremely kind and responsive. There’s parking as well. All staff is extremely kind and helpful.
