Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United Arab EmiratesThe restaurant/bar was not open when were were there, which was a shame as there are limited options for dining in town. Coupled with the 'no reception staff' nature of the hotel and its location in an industrial area on the edge of Ruggell, it felt like a bit of a ghost town. But unless you're planning to hang out at the hotel the whole time, I guess that doesn't matter much!
Looks like a brand new hotel and everything is spotlessly clean. Rooms are decent size, nice bathrooms, comfy beds and all the amenities. Huge breakfast spread with a wide variety of options. There are no staff manning the hotel but the self check-in process is easy. Really good value for money for the quality.

DenmarkCheck in was good except for stating, that I should wait for an invoice, that never came. In the meantime I forgot my roomnumber. Luckily a member of staff could inform me. It was difficult to get my motorcycle out of the garage. A sign stating, that you need to drive very close would help.
The garage was a bonus. I was only informed of “own parking” The concept.

United StatesShower water traveled out of shower area. Would have appreciated a bathroom vent. Room was a bit warm, was AC available?. Our electric adapter did not fit the bathroom outlet. We arrived on a holiday, so no reception available. Perhaps some information on how things work would be helpful. Could use instructions in laundry and trash receptacle.
The design was very nicely done. Liked the Wfi connections. Window shade. Lighted makeup mirror in bath, and brightness at sink. Appreciated the laundry facility on site. A quiet room. Good breakfast. Kind staff.

We liked the anytime self check in very much. The rooms had all the basics one would need in a hotel room. It didn’t have a mini fridge, coffee maker or water boiler though. The room had automatic shutters we could close by pressing a button, and also included black out curtains.

DenmarkThere were no information about the hotel in the room. We had to read the website ti see when the breakfast opened as there are no staff in this hotel. We also called the reception once via the phone assistance but they never picked it. We finally met someone else on the hotel we could ask.
