Fantastic location in walking distance from both dickwella beach and hiriketiya for surfing. They have a 6 bed ac room and 4 bed non ac room on the top floor with nice views. The non ac room had a fan for every bed which was great in the heat. I had an amazing time here and met some really great people. They do a big breakfast you can order the night before which looked amazing. I ate my own food I bought from the main road close by and was able to use their knives and chopping board. There is a buffet curry place Priyanka down the road which does the cheapest curry in Sri Lanka!

It was such a nice atmosphere in here, everything was very clean and the hosts were so lovely. I hurted my feet during my stay and Dineshka helped me with everything! She is a nurse so she could recommend me the right doctors for the right treatment. We would come back for sure!

About a 10-15 minute walk each way to the beaches. Not bad, but not terribly close either. Kitchen was very functional, but a lot of flies you had to contend with while cooking. A few weird older guests staying long term it seemed.

It was decent for a 2 night stay. Good AC in the AC room. There's a kitchen you can use and you can buy water bottles from the host.

Very cute hostel. It’s a short walk from the bay or Dickwella beach. The hostel was very clean and the AC room great. The vibe was nice with the rooftop and everyone was very friendly. Price is fair as well. Can highly recommend 🙏🏼

Clean, friendly people, good to sleep(air-conditioning in the dorms) nature all around. Kitchen to cook. Cheap! Hands down the best value for money of any hostel I stayed at in 6 months in Sri Lanka. I stayed at Abinu's years ago, came back now and will be back next trip. Nearby the beach and shops, very recommended

Amazing hostel situated between Dikwella and Hiriketiya beach. Beds were comfy and had mosquito nets which was a bonus! Super social vibes and very clean house and rooms. Would highly recommend. Short walk to both beaches and restaurants/main road etc.

A lovely family home opened up for travelers, conveniently situated near both beaches of the town. The house boasts 3 spacious floors, each has its own character. There are 1 family room (first floor), 2 private rooms with balcony (second floor) overlooking the pretty garden. The 2 dorms, one with AC, locate on the third floor, featuring a large terrace surrounded by tall leafy trees. Rooms are clean and well-equipped, bathrooms are cleaned daily and well-ventilated thanks to the half-open walls. The living room on the second floor reminds travelers of their own, with a table, sofa, a cupboard and a bookshelf. Originally booked for 2 nights, I kept extending my stay, indulging myself in the hospitality of the host, relishing the opportunity to read books in the tranquil garden and stroll the jungle path to the beaches. Early risers will for sure enjoy the sunrise and early swim at Hiriketiya Beach (although I never quite managed to catch the sunrise myself). Don't miss the breathtaking sunset at Dikwella Beach. Note: there is another newly opened hostel just a minute away, also owned by the family.

My best stay in Sri Lanka. Outstanding. Stayed in the A/C dorm for 2 nights and met a lot of other travellers. Village itself is beautiful with local shops and restaurants nearby. Peacocks nearby with beautiful greenery. I would definitely come back, the host and the staff are amazing and the breakfast there is a must have.

I would have enjoyed access to filtered water to avoid the plastic, but you could buy water on site, which was convenient. Sometimes a bit hard to find any staff around but usually very responsive to messages. The 4 bed dorm felt a bit cramped.

Beds were comfy and the lower bunks had a nice mosquito net set up. The hammocks downstairs were great and the location was very good!

Door to the dorm could only be locked/closed from the inside OR the outside, so it meant the door stayed open all night, alot of mosquitos.

Good location close to the main road in Dickwella, but still walking distance to Hiriketiya Beach. Plenty of places to sit and relax. Staff were helpful in advising on public buses to catch to Ella (incorrect information online). I was given a fresh coconut on arrival, a nice touch after arriving in the heat of the day.

The rooms are very tiny which gave me a bit of a claustrophobic feeling, specially sleeping so close to other people. The common areas are nice but also a bit small.

The host was lovely and the location great for me, as I was going mainly to Dickwella beach and to Verse Collective coworking space. It’s also very close to Hiriketiya and plenty of restaurants and cafes without being in the middle of the hustle and bustle. The price was formidable (I paid 7$ for a dorm bed with AC and 5$ without. Terrace is nice.Tiny kitchen we could use.
