Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

best hostel I have ever stayed in Sri Lanka! I love the open-air shower, and we have our own rooftop to hang out. there is no mosquito at night although mosquito net is provided. Just 5 mins walk to the beach and located on a quiet street

United StatesI absolutely love this place. Abinu is Comfortable, Clean and Pleasant, great hospitality, very friendly and accommodating. A home away from home nestled between two lovely beaches is Abinu. A wonderful garden rests with its blooming flowers, coconut palm, mango, berry, star fruit and citrus trees. It is amazingly beautiful as is the newly renovated rooftop, and its breathtaking picturesque view. What more can I say? Excellent for a short or long stay, spacious rooms, comfortable beds with private baths. The bus station is nearby. Restaurants and small shops are less than a few blocks away. Abinu is a genuinely nice place. The hostess so graciously accommodated me during lock-down, but truly it was more of a retreat. Dineshka, thank you so very much for an amazing stay. Trying to decide where to stay- Abinu is the place. A home away from home.

CanadaThe bathroom window can’t be closed entirely, which lets bugs and critters in, which wouldn’t be so bad except there’s a gap on the bottom of the bathroom door. The bed is a bit soft and worn out.
Dineshka was very nice and makes a very delicious breakfast and the staff are very helpful. There’s parking for scooters and a Tuktuk, which was helpful. The AC and fan in the room was great. There’s an adorable kitten!

PolandIn my opinion rooms in dorm are too small, no place to put you bags. They were the smallest rooms I've ever had (and been to 40+ hostels). Showers are outside on the "open terrace" and you can be seen either by neighbours or other guests depending which one you select 😅). Beds didn't have one "side" so it's dangerous if you fall from the top bed (one guy felt from the bed while I was there).
Common area with access to fridge was useful. Parking is available. Lockers in the room.

IndiaOther than it's location, I didn't like the place at all. The dorm rooms are so small. 3 bunk beds are just cramped up in a small room and there's barely place to move your stuff around. Washrooms are also poorly designed with open side walls. This is the first hostel where I didn't find any filtered water within the hostel. One has to purchase water bottles. Staff was just okayish. Not like the other hostels I have been to where they were more friendly.
The only good part is that it's at walking distance from Hiriketiya beach, Dikwella beach and Dikwella bus stand. You also have some food options around the place. And you get a terrace.

GermanyWe found the communication with the family a bit difficult and we couldn’t really connect.
The room was nice and clean with a cute balcony (unfortunately no possibility to sit outside). It’s just a 10 min walk to the beach.
