It´s a bit out of the way and the hike up to the homestay is considerable but still worth it in all. No toiletries.

The breakfast and view were the best. Bed was comfortable and the family running the hotel was kind.

Wasantha and his family were wonderful hosts, you really get a sense of them as a beautiful family living a blessed life in the hills of Ella. Lovely! Breakfast was great, the location is calm and removed from the city, so your view is spectacular, especially during sunrise. The room was clean, the beds comfy. I think this was my favorite place to stay during my time in Sri Lanka!

The steps up to the property are a bit of a climb and worth noting if you have breathing problems or mobility issues. However don't let that put you off, its so worth the effort!!

WOW, WOW, WOW this property is amazing, its location high up in the mountain looking out over the lush green valley was 'to die for'. You had the choice of sitting out on the balcony to just gaze wistfully at the view or to do the same thing laying in bed! The husband and wife team were so helpful, going 'above and beyond' to attend to our every need. Breakfast was great with plenty of Sri Lankan style food to eat and the family cooked us a delicious evening meal as well. The husband has a Tuk to transport you wherever you want to go and we went to a Buddhist meditation centre high up on the top of one of the mountains, waiting patiently for us whilst we spent time there. Thank you so much.

Beautifully located, in the middle of the mountains with the best view from the terrace. You can watch the sunrise right from the window front of the rooms in the early morning. The host family is incredibly friendly and welcoming, they do everything to make you feel comfortable. Great breakfast, nice rooms. Would love to come back!

We had a great time here. The view was incredible, the rooms are spacious. But mostly, the owners are amazing people. They really do their best to give you the best time. We even got the chance to celebrate Sri Lankan new year with them. Do have dinner and breakfast here, the food is really good!

The owner and his family are so friendly and always ready to help. They picked us in the town when we arrived in Ella in rain. Also they dropped us in the early morning for the Little Adam Peak. They recommended us a good massage. The view from the room is so spectacular and you are immersed in the nature. They even dropped us off at the bus stand and waited with us for the bus to make sure we will get the right bus. A big thanks 🙏 !

The bathroom smelled of sewage, but with closed door it was fine. The bed was a bit hard.

The view The willingness of the owner, he rented a scooter for a better price than in the city. He arranged the driver for further accommodation at a very good price. He gave us suggestions for trips. And the price included a great breakfast.

Adams Apple homestay is amazing! The best place I've stayed in Sri Lanka. Wasantha and his sister were so lovely and accommodating and always checking in to make sure everything is ok. Any time you needed a tuktuk you just let him know and he arranges. Wasantha also arranged for me to have a traditional facial and for a trip to the waterfalls. The room had everything you need and was spacious. The view!! I wish I could wake up to that view everyday! It's so nice to also be able to say when you would like breakfast and they would have it ready on your balcony. While it is a little bit out of the main street of Ella that's what makes it so special. It's so tranquil & a great base to relax for a few days. I felt so at home!

The bathrooms could do with a little improvement but honestly for quality-price it was by far the best we have had in Sri Lanka. A must-go in Ella.

The hosts were amazing. The entire family were always willing to help and put the extra mile to make your stay the best so far in your trip. Wasantha gave us a lot of recommendations on places and routes which made our stay in Ella much more worth it. His little dog followed us up the mountain and back and was able to guide us on our way back when we were a bit lost. The breakfast was also the best we had so far. Wasantha was also able to arrange a scooter for us at a decent price as well as a cab for our next destination. Our stay was a 15/10.

Everything was perfect, the best accommodation so far in our trip in Sri Lanka. The owner and his family was really kind, helpful, they even offered to do our laundry (fair price). They did everything for us to have the best days ever. The view was amazing +++, you also can rent a scooter. You should definitely go there !!

What a beautiful location and a wonderful place to relax after a busy day of hiking and seeing waterfalls. We loved the views from our room and the balcony. We rented a motor scooter for 3 days, which was great to explore the area. The manager gave us a tip on a secret waterfall that was the highlight of our trip. Breakfast was delicious with twice as much food as we could eat. Sometimes egg hoppers and dahl on top of coconut roti's fresh. fruit, coffee, tea, and possibly 2 other dishes. It's surpassed our expectations. Be aware that the lodging is a bit out of town, so the scooter or tuk tuk is a good idea. Also, there are many steps from the road to the lodging.... which makes for quiet and a beautiful view.

The place is close to Ella Rock and 15 minutes tuk tuk ride from town, but the owner has a tuk tuk and gave us a discount. You can even book a massage at a place in the town- it’s the owners sister. The view is just stunning and the wild life is incredible. We felt pretty comfortable and can highly recommend this place! Thank you again for everything! It was a pleasure to meet you!

The view was amazing! The owners of the guest house are very friendly, met us and offer a small meal with tea. It was nice after a long trip to hear. More stars for the bed with a lot of cushions and a warm blanket. Highly recommended to stay here on your way to Ella. Even for a night. Love the atmosphere!
