Not only was the tranquil environment that this place was in absolutely mesmerizing and infatuating, where the river and the cold climate soothing to listen and watch, but the insulation in the bathroom and how cozy it was with the hot water is something I commend about. It’s a reasonable, affordable price that didn’t deprive me of any facility and the comfortable, soft bed fulfilled my expectations. It was very functional! With a Wardrobe, free wifi and amenities , it was perfect. The neighborhood was quiet, as I was reminded of my happy place in this stay. Very satisfied ! 👍🏻

I recently stayed at a charming riverside retreat with serene beauty of nature, riverside view, birds chirping and such a tranquil atmosphere. This was a newly build hotel with huge rooms, newly build air conditioning, powerful Wifi which we had unlimited access and so comfortable big beds. The bathroom has good river view with warm water and everything was new and clean. I would say the host amazed us with this experience and worth the value of money we paid. Even transportation went so smoothly, it was cheap from the Kandy railway station, temple of the tooth relic and the city center. It will take you average 1.2 to 1.5 euros. Sri Lankan cuisine, hospitality and everything was worth the money making memory in Sri Lanka. Thank you so much

We loved the interior decoration of this bedroom and the architecture of the building. The room is massive, so we had loads of space. The balcony looks out onto the river, where you can see the flying fox at sunset. The owner recommended a trust worthy tuk tuk driver as well.

To be honest this was the best room i have ever stayed in my life :) it’s such an inspirational room with beautiful wooden high ceilings and the most amazing hosts in sri lanka. It’s a really sweet family who cooked for me and really took care of even the smallest details during my stay. There is not much going on in Kandy but just because of this room and these amazing family host, i would even consider coming back here. Also the city center i went everyday with tuktuk from pickme only for 500 rupees so it’s extremely convenient. Lastly the price i paid and what i got is really incredible. Thank you a lot!

Such a lovely family in a quite neighborhood. You have complete privacy as you will stay at the top floor. Rooms are very spacious and anything you need the hosts are there to help with. Great view of Sri Lanka's longest river, definitely worth every penny spent.

The host welcomed us with the fewest words anyone could possibly use to make any sense. There were 5 of us and he refused to give us more than two small bottles of water because apparently "we had booked the place on the cheap" as If we had anything to do with pricing. Then later when we asked him a million times for water he simply ignored us. The place is thrown together carelessly; there's no proper sitting area and most of the first floor is occupied by the twin bed which is guess what, right next to the kitchen and the bathroom. The bathroom walls are made of flimsy material which did little to insulate. The water pressure was nonexistent and the heater stopped working on the second day. Unsurprisingly enough, he ignored us when we told him about the issues.

We didn’t find the accomodation clean (bathroom and inside the wardrobe) and we think a bit overpriced. This is the only accomodation on this price range/type we haven’t had breakfast.
