The Staff are very helpful and courteous. The room was clean and comfortable. The Beach was very clean. The Kitchen staff also very well trained and helpful. Breakfast was adequate. Beach Staff was very helpful

Our only comment would be wait for food when ordered from the a la carte menu or room service. Buffet is obviously instant and hot beverages came quickly with breakfast. But if ordering off a menu, the food took a long time to arrive (talking an hour!) Spa needs updating. Also better signage. Otherwise lovely.

dinners and service to be improved. overpriced in comparisson to other hotels next. a lot of extremely impolite russian tourists during our visit which made our stay uncomfortable (not hotel fault of course, but some issues were related to hotel staff as well).

They still give plastic drinking water bottles. Please provide glass bottles and refill to prevent more plastic waste.

Location! And the set up of the resort is spacious and very nicely done. But they should organize beach clean up around the hotel. The plastic waste is a big problem.

We were there in March and were told it was off season. So most of the restaurants and bars were closed and we were limited to one temporary eating area. There were very few other people at the resort, less than 10, so the resort was pretty dead after 8pm. Would like to go again when its fully open

The resort was beautiful and we had a fantastic room upgrade that was beside the pool with great views. Everyone at the resort were top class and couldn't have been more helpful.

A la care menu.. I was disappointed with the see food grill it was too much grilled and there was nothing to eat and no crab cutter provided. It’s not worth for the money.

The hotel does everything they can to rip you off. When you arrive they will add a good 20% to the price represented by booking.com for your room. At the end they will give you a bogus exchange rate to make sure they rip you off another 15%. Very disappointed in the honesty of hotel.

The hotel does its absolute best to rip you off at every turn. The prices they charge you are not what is represented by booking.com. They charged us 10-20% more for our whole party’s rooms on arrival. After waiting 1 hour at check out they gave us a bogus exchange rate that multiplied the price even more. They gave us 198LKR to USD exchange rate when the normal and live exchange rate was 226LKR to USD. They refused to change it. Very disappointed in the integrity of this hotel. If you actually have a budget I would not recommend. They will make sure they charge you 30% more than the advertised price by the end of your stay.

Everything was great

For our second visit to Passikudah we chose Anantaya Resort and we couldn't have chosen better. From the first moment to the end we were looked after by the friendly staff, especially Rishopana and Kanogitha. We booked this resort for a room with direct access to the pool and we were lucky to get perhaps the nicest room. But what makes this resort special is the people who work here. We also spoke with the friendly beach/pool attendant S. and likewise the waiters and cooks at breakfast and dinner did everything they could to make the guests happy. Excellent Sri Lankan breakfast and dinner. My husband was delighted that the waiters here could spin a beer with a foam cap. The room was very nice and clean. The pool was cleaned regularly too. Free sunbeds on the beach. Beautiful beach and walks. If we had not booked another stay before, we would have stayed longer. We will definitely be back here soon!

Spectacular hotel in perfect setting close to the beach. Best hotel of our holiday and our second visit. Silver service restaurant and bar. Gorgeous pool. The architect deserves a prize - great design and comfort.

It was wonderful vacation at the best hotel on the eastern seaside of Shrilanka. Quite, relax, top service, very tasty food, great room (we lived in deluxe one), sea, atmosphere etc. There is nothing for what you are able to say "i don't like it"/

The service was slow and not good promotion for the place. It has great potential to be the best. But not many selection to pick in menu or drinks. Very limited of choices. And they play the same music in the resutrants in all meal courses. And expensive for limited food choice and not great quality. And there wasn't many guests like only 3 guests in big hotel. And other hotels have many guests.

The location and the designs are good and the cleaning staff were good. It had good hotels nearby to try other food buffets which I highly suggest to visit other resort beaches nearby.

Many, Paid a premium for half board but got a la carte So basically we have to eat what is offered by The hotel on a menu card. Booking.com should Highlight this to customers.A rip off by hotels. If no buffer then that oprion of full board or half board should not appear. At check in to the room many short commings, No heated water for a bath,had to wait 30 minutes to get it sorted, Only two small bottles of water per day,had to argue and get twi more extra. Had to call 5 times to get basic things to the room. In the night its dark in the hotel with less lights around. All in all a bad experience.

The staff including Shantha were very polite and Respectful.
