Some rooms don't have AC, don't take them - they can be extremely hot. Rooms can be quite dark.

Location - it is right at the beach, you can just go swimming just with the swimming suit. Restaurants, bars and everything are close. Quite place, the noise from the street doesn't reach it.

We returned here after ten years because it such a beautiful guesthouse. Everything is spotlessly clean, two minute walk to the beach, charming place. The hosts are very kind.

There are quite a lot of mosquitos outside so wear some spray if you are sitting out on the balcony 🙂

Beautiful, clean and comfortable room. We had everything we needed- mosquito net, aircon, towels, hot water. Ideal location - plenty of restaurants and bars just at the end of the alley and the beach just a couple of minutes away. We booked one night at the beginning of our stay in Sri Lanka and one at the end. The staff were so helpful by letting us leave our large rucksacks with them between stays so we could travel around comfortably. Thank you so much!

Marcus went above and beyond to help me out when my baggage got lost and made me feel much happier in quite a frustrating and confusing time of my travels. Breakfast was lovely, and the rooms were clean.

The owner forgot to send a taxi to pick us up at the airport because he confused the days. However it was no problem, because there are many taxis waiting at the airport for you. Expect to pay a little extra when booking at the airport. It was an honest mistake and he apologized kindly. It was quickly forgotten.

The room was exceptionally clean for this type of stay. The owner is a very friendly and an interesting guy who traveled many countries and connects well with his guests. The perfect place to stay in Negombo with high value for money. We felt welcome and safe. It's 20 meters away from the beach - however don't expect the beach in Negombo to be nice for swimming etc.

Breakfast is varied, everything is prepared upon request. The inner courtyard is like a small oasis. Due to its location on a small side street, it is very quiet. Beach can be reached in just a few steps. We use Angel Inn as a “stopover hotel” to the airport. Always my pleasure.

Everything was actually quite nice! Room for improvement: The towels could use more washing powder to get a bit of a smell. Exchange the cheap closet with a proper wooden clothes rack or construction. Mosquito „snail“ on the outside would be useful. The rooftop could use some attached in case you want guests to hang out there. Sea is not suitable for swimming in November (not Angel Inn‘s fault of course) Thanks for hosting us!

Beach was the only disappointment but think it is ok further up. We only went for a walk along it as no time to enjoy it as we were departing on a plane.

Good guest house just off Lewis road and 2 minute walk to beach. (Beach is not for swimming as dirty at this end). Room was great - huge comfortable bed with mozzie net and fan. Free bottle of water. Good size clean bathroom. Would recommend is staying / leaving from airport. Was about 2km from Negombo train station and cost around 200r for tuk tuk.
