Quiet, remote spot at the beautiful beach. Very nice garden with large pool. Excellent food. Very kind and helpful staff. My wife was handicapped as she had broken her leg but the staff supported her in any respect to move around. Thank you!

This is the best property I stayed at during My stay in Sri Lanka. I was thoroughly impressed. It's right by the beach and it was so calming. The food was beyond exquisite and some of the best I had during my trip. Will definitely be back next year

Coffee drinks can be improved.

We stayed at Ayana Seas for five nights. This small resort is located nearby a small village south of Colombo. Took about an hour and a half from the airport. The vibes were quiet, super chill and peaceful. The resort is right on the beach, and it's one of the best we hit up in Sri Lanka. All the staff were super friendly. The beach is gorgeous, but the waves were a bit gnarly for swimming when we were there, so we just hung out by the pool. The food was good overall, and you gotta try the seafood sizzling dish platter—it was bomb. Bed was very comfortable. We got lucky and saw a bunch of baby turtles hatching on the resort beach. We even helped some of the little dudes find their way to the ocean. All in all, it's a sweet and serene resort.

It is a small place, that is why we actually chose it. But somehow, as we had a premier ocean view room, which was next to the pool area. We felt it lacked privacy. Guests were lounging in the garden ouside our room. The rooms felt very dated and worn off. We had to get the room and terrace cleaned thoroughly. Wished the welcome drinks were not just mere shots. In 35C, we were hoping for some good cooling drinks, like in all the other places we stayed. The breakfast was not included in 265$ per day tariff, it didn't feel right. We skipped it as we didn't feel right paying 42$ per day for breakfast. We stayed in better properties during our 2.5 week holiday and always had a great bf included in the tariff. Plus no yoga class or no gym. We made best of our stay at Ayana sea, as it was our last 3 days in Srilanka. But we might not be going back.

The spa bathroom was very nice. It was almost 40C in there. On request they provided a fan. We enjoyed the plungepool too. The food and service at the restaurant was very good. Room size was good and the bed was comfy. Staff was very nice. One restaurant staff spoke good English, which was refreshing.

The resort was on a pricier side so we thought it would have more activities available. We were glad they were able to offer us the cooking class after we requested it. Communication from the front desk could be better and improved on.

We celebrated our honeymoon in Sri Lanka and found this gem to spend towards the end of our trip. It's quiet and quaint. The resort is smaller than what I expected but it was stunning. Green, private beach and private pool if you want to detach from everything. The best part of the resort was the food. Chef Mahindo, who won multiple awards, and his team were amazing. We had a full board and our tummy were extremely full but our souls were happy. Chef M even hosted a sri lanka cooking class which he was very good at explaining and educating us about each of the spices. Can't wait to replicate it at home in London. The room and bathroom were huge. They were clean as I expected. The dining staff and housekeeping were great. They were polite and provided great service. Do note, there is limited activity within the resort when we were there so if you want to explore nearby, it's a 45 min drive but super easy to get uber or pick me. If you need a quiet getaway from the crowd, it's a perfect destination. Highly recommend!

One of the most precious hotels in Sri Lanka. We stayed with our 4yr old son in one of the villas with private pool. The staff is super nice and the food is excellent. The price for food and drinks are higher but this is because of the great quality and service. If you look for a quiet Boutique Hotel with excellent service and high standards this is the right place. Thanks to everyone for making our stay unforgettable

The prices may seem slightly on the higher side. However, this is the case anywhere presently due to the recent economic crisis in the country. However, encouraging everyone to visit this hidden gem in this beautiful island to bounce back

It's an absolutely stunning place, full of nature, in front of the beautiful sandy beach. The rooms were more spacious than typical top-end hotels, and the linen and bedding were spotless. We checked into a family room and ordered high tea to start our evening. The staff was very friendly

We had a great stay at Ayana with our little daughter, everything was very clean and well maintained from the pool to the garden and rooms. The staff was very helpful and friendly and the food from the restaurant is top tier; everything is very tasteful and fresh and there’s a lot to choose from. We can only recommend this place!

Beautiful location. Warm, welcoming and top service from everyone working there. I ate the Ayana special with lagoon crab at dinner and it was one of the best meals I’ve had in Sri Lanka.

Amazing place, very calm with nice vibes, beatiful nature, few guests. Resort is located in front of the ocean with nice beach, sometimes dirty - garbage from the ocean during tide. Resort is perfect, few villas, very luxurious. I prefer Ocean Villa with a view, amazing terrace (our villa includes protection against raining), private mini pool. Space inside the villa is very generous, big bed, gauch,... photos attached. Bathroom is spacious as well, with shower and bathtub with amazing view to the garden or the sky. Cleanliness in very high level, everyday cleaning. Simple smart system inside room is nice surprise. The main pool is perfect, good for swimmers, children and chillin as well. Restaurant is excellent, good quality of food, asian and european too. Possibility of biliard, calcetto, massage. The highest added value in the resort are the people, so much nice an helpful staff working here, big thank you! Amazing and relaxing holidays spent in Ayana Sea.

The quiet location is great but this means that there is not much nearby in terms of restaurants/shopping/sightseeing etc.

The location was beautiful on a very quiet beach. The staff were absolutely amazing and friendly. All rooms are very close to the pool, restaurant and ocean. The onsite restaurant has a varied menu and all of the food is very high quality. The ocean is beautifully warm although very rough when we were there (April). The pool is relaxing and helps cool off on the hot days.
