The location is far from the main tourist area, Bus stand and Railway station. But you can always use Pickme to travel in Sri Lanka. Other than that this hostel is a good place to stay.

The Hostel has all the facilities including a Cafe which is great as if you need a something to eat or drink then you can get it from the hostel cafe and they prepare it fresh. Also there is a little pool area for relaxing. The staff was overall good and helpful.

You ordered food and drinks from the bar at the reception and blipped with a wristband. Smooth and modern way to order. But it would have been good if you could have followed your costs. But it's probably an age issue, I'm a bit careful with my expenses. When you left the hostel you pay for food and drinks.

I was met by helpful staff who guided me through a pleasant forecourt with a bar and pool to the reception. There you filled in papers and showed your passport, then the staff carried the bag into the accommodation and showed me where I would sleep. The room had three sets of bunk beds with curtains that you could pull. The staff were fantastically nice and helpful. And there was very nice fellowship both between guests and staff, but also between guests and guests. I traveled alone, but was always invited into the community and always had company when I ate if I wanted. In the rooms, the guests talked to each other, exchanged experiences and tips. I loved this place! The food was fantastic, beautiful and tasty.

It’s a super nice and quiet hostel. Perfect spot to arrive in the busy city and being out of the noise. The staff is super nice and mindful about their food they offer. They even dry their own spices. By the way the vegan energy balls are very delicious, with the right amount of sweetness. After all these, for me too sweet deserts in Sri Lanka a very nice tasty surprise. They also organize turtle patrols. I really liked the stay there and their approach to nature and health. I even could leave one luggage there for a while for a really good price, and could travel in peace since I really felt it in good hands. Thanks a lot for that.

A lot of emphasis on getting-together. Perfect hostel feeling with a lot of nice details. Its quite the oasis in the middle of the busy streets of Colombo.

Nice place to stay in Colombo. It's located in a very quiet area. The hostel is very clean and comfortable. Nice to chill out in the pool at the end of the day. The staff is very welcoming and kind.

The showers are very tiny. It's quite far from central Colombo but it's super easy to reach with public transport.

Bed was very comfy, ac works well, staff really nice and knowledgeable. It's nice to have a restaurant on site. The pool was refreshing!

The tuc tucs at the side of the road overcharge so it's best to get an Uber but the people are lovely and I loved Sri Lanka as a whole!

I initially chose this hostel because it was the only one I could see with a pool but it went above and beyond my expectations. The staff were very accommodating and knowledgeable of the area, the food was delicious and the beds were comfortable with A/C. I accidentally left some clothes at the hostel and Lisa posted them all the way to the UK for me so thank you so much Lisa :) I'll definitely recommend Seconds to friends and will stay again next time I'm in Colombo

The communication of the hostel is slightly passive aggressive. Check the notices on the walls and the official answers on Google maps. They can call a customer "a typical Karen" and ask "what do you expect from $8". I felt a bit uncomfortable because of it (but I checked the reviews after I booked it) The rule "no food from the outside" is quite odd for a hostel, they have their own cafe but still... There's no place to work, every corner of the common space is pretty loud and they have sockets only in one location.. The Booking pictures are a bit overpromissing.
