This accommodation is stunning. It’s build out of wood and is a super cozy cabin, feels like in the middle of nowhere but it’s just a 2min walk down to the bridge. The host family is super kind and helpful. We even got rice and curry for breakfast as we asked for it :) would totally stay here again!

Nothing. It was really great.

The view from the hotel is truly unbeatable. What’s even better is that there is a shortcut that takes you to the bridge in only five minutes. The room itself is clean and cozy. The owners are incredibly friendly and lovable. The breakfast was really delicious. The owner picked me up from the station which made me feel welcome right from the start. He also dropped me early in the morning at the starting point of the Little Adam’s Peak hike. Highly recommended to anyone visiting Ella.

Everything was great. I would prefer fresh coffee or espresso with breakfast over instant, but seems like it’s hard to find good coffee in Sri Lanka.

Exceptional view of 9 Arch Bridge offered by local family who go out of their way to make sure you are well looked after. Yes it’s a little way out of Ella but this means it’s much quieter than the hectic town centre. Plus the owner has a Tuk Tuk and will drop you off / pick you up whenever necessary for a fair price. Breakfast is served on your balcony including egg hoppers, coconut pancakes, fruit salad and freshly squeezed juice. Tea and coffee facilities are provided in the room. Currently only 1 room available so best to book now!

There was only a fan instead of AC.

The location couldn’t be any better; you have the perfect uninterrupted view of the bridge! The hosts were incredibly friendly and always offered us lifts if we wanted them, made sure everything was all okay during our time there, as well as booking us a taxi when we left at the end of our stay. The accommodation was very clean and comfortable and we especially loved the balcony area where we enjoyed our breakfasts each morning!

We loved this place. Even though the Nine Arc Bridge is a major landmark in Ella and all of Sri Lanka there are not many accommodations that actually offer a good view to it. The Barn probably has the best. The wooden cabin is very new, had everything we needed and was spotless clean and well maintained. . The family owning the Barn is extremely kind and helpful, communication was very good, breakfast was excellent. They will also arrange reasonably priced (or even free) transportation for you whenever needed, but we had our own. . We were so happy that this place was available to us and can fully recommend it.

Wow, a real gem in Ella. The view from this treehouse is STUNNING, over the 9 arches bridge. We would definitely stay here again when we come back to Sri Lanka. It is about 10 minutes from Ella center so is away from the hustle & bustle of the town but still easily accessible by tuk tuk. It is easy to reach lots of the main Ella attractions from here. The family were so kind & cooked us a delicious traditional breakfast in the morning and provided lifts on their tuk tuk into Ella center. Highly recommend, we loved everything.

The wifi was not working very well, but that was probably because of the heavy rains.

The little cottage is very nice, clean and cozy. The location is amazing, you see the Nine Arch Bridge from the terrace, and there is a small path that takes you to the bridge in less than 5 minutes. The owners are super nice and helpful.

There were some dead bugs on the mosquito net above the bed that should probably be cleaned.

We really enjoyed our stay at Barn HIll. The owners were super friendly and extremely helpful. Since Barn Hill is a bit out of town, he helped us arrange a tuktuk without any wait. The view is breathtaking! We highly recommend it

Be prepared for a lot of mosquitos :-)

The owners of Barn Hills is a very wonderful and lovely family. They took care of me so well and the husband could bring me with his tuk tuk anywhere anytime. The hammock is also amazing with a view right on Nine Arch Bridge. It was an unforgettable stay and I will definitely come back again. Thank you so much for everything!

Had a wonderful stay here! The location is beautiful, you see the Nine Arches Bridge from the room! The room was clean and nice :) The family was so nice and kind to us, and here I had the best coconut rotti with dhal curry (homemade). Eat here don’t go outside ahaha

The stay had the best view of the main attraction in Ella i.e. Nine Arche Bridge. The room & bathroom was very clean and pretty. The food served was tasty & healthy. Host Nihal & his family were very humble and responsive. We loved our stay and completely recommend you to book this if you are traveling to Ella.

Lovely cottage style room with a everything you need. Great value for money. Best view of Nine Arch Bridge in Ella. Nihal and his beautiful family are locals who built and run the place. He will drive you anywhere you want to go in his tuk tuk and his wife makes a great local breakfasts. About 10 mins drive to town which means there's no noise from the loud streets and bars.

Absolutely nothing, there is not even something what we could think of to improve slightly - it was PERFECT!!!

EVERYTHING, Super nice Hosts (Pradeepa and Saman are the friendliest and most caring people we have met in Sri Lanka - Thank you so much for the awesome time we had!), absolutely BREATHTAKING and STUNNING VIEW, whole small hut for yourself, comfortable bed, great bathroom, hot water/shower, free TukTuk drive to town and return, BEST LOCAL BREAKFAST we had, close to Attractions, and so much more!

Ella doesn't have any good or real local restaurants, a lot of restaurants for backpackers. But the vibe in the town is good.

The view from your hammock on the Nine Arches Bridge is really amazing! The wooden cottage is really nice. Great to stay here for 3 nights. The host will arrange everything for you and provide you everything you need (beers, food, tours and transfers). Little Adam's Peake is very close, wals to the peak and go a bit further to have a view point for yourself.
