This place is located up on the mountain. So it's kinda tiring when you walk up. You can't really get a tuktuk right in the city center. Also, wifi didn't work at night for some reason. In the morning, it was all fine though.

The owner's very friendly and kind. Good price, and we love the atmosphere up there. Kandy City Center was really crowded, and air quality was so bad, but once you come up to this place, you can feel the clean air and nice breeze.

Both of the owners are so kind! They helped me with an issue of my package and prepared an awesome breakfast and dinner. I got some tips where to buy spices etc. The Homestay is situated on a mountain with an amazing view over Kandy, I really enjoyed staying there!

The best room we stayed during our trip in Sri Lanka. Awesome family, welcomed us with great hospitality. Helped arranged tuk tuk to the bus station, explained best way to get to Ella. Our room had an awesome view. It was very spacious, more like an apartment than a room. 100% recommending to those who plan to stay in Kandy.

It’s a quiet place & surrounded by green mountains. Yummy breakfast every morning while monkeys were walking outside the window. We loved our host, Rasika and Dilini.Rasika helped us through the rest of our trip & planned an adventurous trip for us. it couldn’t be better than that. We really enjoyed being there. 🤩

It was a pleasure to meet this family. Everyone was super friendly and did everything to make us feel like we were home. The room we stayed was very clean, nice smell, and bathroom were attached. The breakfast was amazing and we also enjoyed a delicious dinner once and we had a very nice cooking experience with them.

It was the nicest stay during our journey to Sri Lanka. The accommodation is perfect and the atmosphere is what makes it unforgettable. Rasika and his family is very kind and helpful. The breakfasts where very tasty and every day there was a different menu to try. We will definitely stay here again if we come back to Sri Lanka.

Wow we loved our stay at BETHEL what a lovely family. We had a delicious varied breakfast every morning and had tea and biscuits with the family when we arrived and had a great chat with them. Their English was perfect and warm welcome. The rooms were clean and spacious and comfortable but the best thing was how light they were, with lovely balconies and views. Wish everywhere could be like this.

Lovely family and room looking over Kandy city and forest. The hosts helpful for many more. we had a comfortable stay, out of the city but its ok to walk to the city 15 - 20 minutes but the way back to homestay 10 minutes drive with tuk tuk.

Such warm and welcoming place to stay in a terrific location for Kandy and easy walking distance (downhill) to the train station. Even though we only stayed one night we were made to feel truly welcome and I would definitely stay here again. The breakfast was lovely and there is a nice outside patio. Thank you to the lovely hosts who accepted our booking at the last minute and allowed us to use the washing line when all our clothes were wet from hiking.

Beautiful family that hosted me, my girlfriend and some other friends. You get the chance to share breakfast with the family, play cards with the kids and share their home. The house is located up a hill in a calm and quiet area, overlooking the valley of Kandy. Fresh air, breathtaking views and animals are part of the experience.

The hosts were extremely friendly and helpful! They went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. The beds are comfy and the breakfast was yummy. It is located a bit outside of Kandy (15 min walk but steep uphill) but tuktuks come and go there easily. This way it is quite and peaceful at night.

I had a really amazing stay - and just wish I had had more nights! It’s a beautiful property, and my room had a balcony with lovely view across the hills towards the city. Rasika was in communication via WhatsApp about my arrival and kindly even offered to help me get a tuk tuk. During my stay Dilini was so welcoming, and gave me recommendations for food/ sites/ where to go for a walk. I can also definitely recommend the location - the views are beautiful, its only a short walk to the city centre, and if you have time you can go on a walk up into the hills too. Would love to come again
