The owner is great, helpful, good man. Room was nice and tidy, bathroom spacious. They are offering tasty breakfast with variety of amazing local fruits. And he took us by tuk tuk for the bus to Matara and helped us find our bus to Tangalle. Thank you for everything.

Everything was fine!

Madu and his family gave us 4 wonderful days in Mirissa. It's a nice place because it's quietly located and yet very close to the beach or restaurants. There is also an excellent massage/spa opposite which we can also recommend! The breakfast was delicious, the air conditioning and the fan worked perfectly. Madu took care of everything lovingly. He is a great person and perfect host! He also drove us to our next accommodation in his tuk tuk. We can recommend the accommodation 100% and would come back at any time! Thank you for everything and all the best to your family and the new child!!!

The room was very clean and had everything you needed! The bathroom was very nice. The owners are totally kind and helpful people. The breakfast was delicious. It doesn‘t even take 5 minutes to walk to the beach and there are many good restaurants around. I can highly recommend this accommodation!

That we didn’t stay longer!

This homestay is the best we have ever experienced. The room is spacious, clean and comfortable with brilliant air conditioning and a fridge which is very handy. The free breakfast was incredible and we couldn’t believe that it was included in the price of the room. We even had some monkeys come and say hello whilst enjoying our pancakes! The family that run this are such kind and hospitable people and we can’t thank them enough for such a lovely stay.

Really lovely host and excellent room which has been recently redecorated - modern and clean, good AC, with a large bathroom and plenty of hot water! Excellent, enormous breakfast provided by the host including hoppers, milk rice, toast, fruit, tea, string hoppers and more. Property is located up a quiet road but is super close to the main beaches and attractions in Mirissa.

Leaving! Wish we were still there!

Bisandu deserves 20 stars! It is excellent value for money. Our host, Madu was so attentive, kind, funny and helpful. He helped us in every way, from providing transport in his tuk tuk wherever we wanted to go, helping me to fix my phone, helping us get train tickets, lending us an umbrella, going out and buying milk so we could have milky tea and in many other ways. The accommodation was spotlessly clean but Madu still offered to clean for us again. The breakfast was plentiful and delicious and Madu's wife is an excellent cook. The bed was very comfortable and there were no mosquitoes thanks to the net around the bed. The shower works perfectly. Water pressure is good and hot water never runs out. There are plenty of power points and also good lighting for those of us who wear some makeup. All the facilities such as re kettle, fridge and air conditioner work very well. One morning I woke up to a baby monkey looking through the window, so very cute. Mirissa is a lovey place to visit. Madu took us to turtle beach where we swam with turtles and to a snake farm that, despite my being very scared, was very good and I highly recommend going. Madu many thanks for making our stay so enjoyable. Many thanks also to your wife and wishing you good health and happiness and to your wife, son and new baby that is arriving in the future. We stayed for three amazing nights at this homestay in Mirissa. Our host was incredibely attentive and caring for the whole time. We felt like at home. He even came for us by tuktuk to another city when we couldn't find a driver during the national strike. Breakfast was absolutely delicious and little bit different every day. Room itself is nice and spacious and very clean. The highlight of our stay was seeing wild monkeys on our balcony in the morning! There's also spa just behind the corner where you can get nice massage. Hopefully we will be back one day! Thank you again.

Very nice, private and cosy place close to the beach and city center. The host is amazingly kind and helpful with whatever you might need or any activities you like to do. We only stayed for one night but had a wonderful stay with a great breakfast and our host even drove us to the next hotel.

A great guesthouse run by a lovely Sri Lankan family. Very clean room, amazing breakfast and quite location. There is a fridge, fan and air conditioner in the room so it's very comfortable. The hosts also have a tuk tuk and helped me with transportation. This is a great place to stay in Mirissa.

The rooms offers all you need: Private bathroom, hot water, big (and comfortable) bed and pillows, A/C and even a small fridge. The host and his family are super nice, we felt welcome at any time and got all the help we needed (dinner tips, ride to Weligama, finding a driver last minute to the airport and setting up a whale watching trip). Easy and super quick communication via Whatsapp. I also have to mention the breakfast, which was exceptional - you can choose from a variety of local and international delicacies and they all taste amazing!

loved our stay at Bisandu. Madu and his family looked after us so well. the room is spacious and clean with brilliant aircon. it is in the perfect location - a short walk to the beach and town but in a quite road away from the loud music of the beachfront. it is right opposite an amazing spa as well! the breakfast was delicious and plentiful.

The guesthouse was very close to the beaches (2 min) and shops (3/4mins) which was very good for the value of your nights stay. We enjoyed the beach and surrounding beaches - we snorkelled at the black sand beach and we saw three turtles which was amazing! The room has lots of space, air conditioning, a fridge, towels, hand towels, toilet roll and soap which is very nice considering we have been to many guesthouses in Sri Lanka and not one has offered all of these things! There is a small outside area, outside your room, which doesn't have any special views but is really nice to just relax on after the beach or in the mornings. The family who run the guesthouse are very nice and we're more than happy to change the breakfast and cater for our needs - ensuring we had a everything we liked. They have good knowledge of the surrounding areas and they even were kind enough to do our laundry for a small price! We loved staying here and Mirissa was nice to visit!
